I was thinking shapeshifter, but that could potentially be PAINFUL, so, uh no. But it is 4th on my list followed by WENDIGO! goooo wendigo. LOL

Okay I chose
Shapeshifter and “Others”. I would love to be a dragon shifter becaues dragons are so totally cool. With the Others I would love to be an elf as in dark elf/drow. They are bad ass!. Valkyrie would be neat. Maybe even a harpy

Guess it depends on who you talk too about elves. But they could be considered Fae. I am a huge elf nerd. I too am a huge dragon nerd but then I was born under the dragon sign.
The harpy in Thea Harrison’s KINKED was awesome! So I thought it would be great to be like that one at least.
I don’t think I have read that book! Need to check it out. I would love you no matter what kind of Harpy you were Rao!

Shifter, either leopard or wolf as my favorites

Vampire- because I just love them. Everything about them. I don’t even mind the daylight prohibition.
Wizard- (for a lady would it be sorceress, wizardess?)- because I want to be able to do magic & I feel like there is less work for wizard-kind than straight up witches.
Fairy- but old school Fae- the kind you don’t make a deal with or say “thank you” too.
I guess my fourth would be some sort of minor deity, one with cool powers but not a big player on the scene (the big-time gods always have problems & I don’t have time for that…)

Yeah I don’t know about Wizards. They are typically only men from what I understand / have read. Then the women are witches.
Where’s a Dresden expert when I need one! dang it.
Well, how about Sorceress then? I feel like I would get to wear a wickedly awesome cape or robe or something. And where do Warlocks fall?

In fantasy almost all wizards are male. Jim Butcher has a few female wizards in the Dresden series. In Suzanne Johnson’s Sentinels of New Orleans series the main character DJ is also a female wizard.
Or you could call them a magess. Yeah it’s always fun with the female version of some names..
actually, or maybe this is for mages, but they have to put spells to memory. So there would be a lot of work involved.
I liked the way of magic in David Eddings’ Belgariad- the Will & the Word. Sure there is the physical effort to be considered but basically if you could think it, you could make it happen. No spells, no potions, no wands…just magic. I think Pol was a Sorceress, so that is what I am going for
For some reason Kethry of Mercedes Lackey’s Valdemar/Oath trilogy comes to mind. I like how it goes in stages, and the more they practice and work magic the stronger it becomes.
Dragon, wolf shifter or possible Fae
Carpathian. I have a lot of health conditions, and with Carpathian abilities, I could heal myself…. not to mentionall the other awesome abilities and a gorgeous lifemate!
Definitely a vampire. As they are suppose to live forever, I’d own and run the biggest stone & mortar bookstore and my living quarters would be there so I could read all the books that I wanted.
I would love to be A Tiger or Snowleopard shifter or may be Wolf. Fae would be interesting. Possibly an angel. The wings would be great but I don’t know if I’m good enough for that.
I chose vampire, witch and fairy. Of course they are all conditional. I wouldn’t want to be a ‘bad’ witch or one with unreliable powers. I love the fae, but there are some real nasties out there. I just want to be glamorous and powerful; is that so wrong? And I had to choose vampire, because on the surface most vampires in literature seem to be really good-looking and rich. I’m shallow, what can I say?
I would want to be a shapshifter. Particularly a wolf. There is something about them that I love. Maybe it is their loyalty, fierceness, family oriented lives? I just love them!
A shifter, vampire, already a Witch
I’d like to be an angel, a fairy or a witch, because they all have magical or other supernatural powers.
here is my top 3 - (1) Shifter - a wolf or feline (prefer tiger or Lion) (2) Vampire (3) Demon
I picked vampire (because I like reading those best), wizard (because they get better hats than witches) and shapeshifter (because it would be awesome to be able to come a talking cat and mess with people).
If I could be any paranormal creature, I would be a vampire because vampires are fascinating creatures who never age and are immortal.
I chose shapeshifter and I can’t choose between either a wolf or one of the big cats. They’re both my favorites to read and I’ve read some great ones over the years that make me at at times wish I could be either one.

Shapeshifting Dragon…..Awesome!!
My first impulse is always “angel” (as long as I don’t have to be dead), but that could be bittersweet. So, I’d pick an unusual shifter of some sort, maybe a bird…

I picked Wizard, Vampire & Shapeshifter. I’d be either a wolf or a big cat, like Shelly Laurenston’s shifters. I love her wolves & lions.
If I was a shapeshifter I’d wanna be a bird, or a snake maybe. Something different. Or a mermaid, not like The Little Mermaid but the badass ones. Sort of like from Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides. Then again Dragon would be pretty dang awesome…

I’m all for being a werewolf! Depending on who you are-so to speak-werewolves can age very slowly and basically stay in their prime for years. Plus you maintain a great and healthy figure. Then there’s the strength, speed and power you get from being a werewolf. And again depending on who you are, like which author writes the books, you can change at will. At least I’m thinking of that one. Not the type that is ruled by the phases of the moon!

The shapeshifter is my favourite one, and I would probably be something like a big cat. (AAAW, CATS)
Or an animal that could fly, can you imagine?
The witch because it’s alla about girl power.
Then the demon kind, which it’s a really vast genre. I remember this character from the musical episode (Once more with feeling, that’s the title) of Buffy the Vampire Slayer called Sweet, a zoot suit-wearing, tap-dancing, singing demon. So cool.
