Bitten by Books
I voted for Riveted by Brooks, I mean it was a given, just look at that cover!!I think it’s beautiful! I also loved Outpost by Aguirre, and Supernatural Born Killers by Daniels. Both of those just caught my eye each time I watched the books rotate thru. Those covers would def make me pick the books up to see what it was about. They were all nice of course, but I think those 3 stood out to me.
Riveted immediately caught my eye. It’s active, intense, and makes me think a lot is happening in the book, so I want to read it. Oh, and the characters portrayed are pretty eye candy, too!
Monstrous Beauty was also eye-catching for its sinuous curving of the mermaid’s tail and the undertones of something dark and dangerous going on. Definitely not a Disney mermaid.
The Asylum Interviews is a bold cover that just makes me want to find out more about who Trixie is and what sort of adventures she’s going to have. I really like the eye=to-eye connection-it was as if the character was looking right at me and saying, You know you want to read this book!
Riveted also is a definite must, love, love, love the cover! Supernatural Born Killers by Daniels and Desire the Night finish my list. There were several covers that I loved the guy’s body but I hate when they show only part of his head. I want the whole pic not a headless hunk!
Also just wanted to say- Glad you’re doing the polls again!
Ooh, I missed the polls! But, now I remember how hard it was just to narrow it down.
The first one that stood out, for me, was In A Fix. I love a cover where the girl looks tough, but isn’t standing in some weird inhuman angle in somestrange effort to show every angle of her body. It’s also nice to see a girl that looks like a soft wind wouldn’t break her in half. I love a cover where it seems like it actually might match the descriptions from the actual story.
My second choice was Blood Forever. I think it might be the play of light, with the girl and dark with the rest of the cover. But something about the contrast of the two caught my eye.
I also loved Monstrous Beauty. The curve of the tale and the coloring makes for such a beautiful cover. And it’s something I don’t think about constantly on a cover, but the way the title is shown o=is really complementary.
So hard to narrow down! I had 5 other covers battling in my head for my second and third choice.
My fav new book is Dragon Moon by Lucy Monroe
Dragon Moon’s cover is very nice.
Totally voted for Riveted. Meljean’s Iron Seas has the best types of covers! Nalini Singh’s Guild Hunter too why I voted for it too. Dragon’s Moon is another great one
Dragon’s Moon and A Tale of Two Vampires
My top two were Supernatural Born Killers (who doesn’t love a wedding dress, veil, garter and awesome sexy high heels in a cemetery!), and Outpost (it’s creepiness was fantastic. Loved the hand at the bottom and the eye on right corner).
Outpost by Ann Aguirre looks very interesting.
I really like and voted for Riveted also!
I voted for Monstrous Beauty and Head Rush. I felt like I had seen the other covers before. MB and HR I definitely thought were the most original.
Outpost was the most visually appealing, it grabbed me right away.
THIS IS SUCH A COOL WEBSITE, WITH THESE AMAZING LOVE STORIES AND POLLS. IT’S SO AWESOME. THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!
I went with Archangel’s Storm by Nalini Singh. That wing span is HOT.
I really like a lot of them, but I voted for Inhuman because I love how they have so many elements involved without any one overwhelming the cover. Not to mention that sexy chest.
I am stunned that Monstrous Beauty’s cover hasn’t received more votes. It is exquisite in composition, proportion, color, and originality.
This would make wonderful wall art even!
I voted for A Tale of Two Vampires ,because I love the design, and also for Archangel’s Storm and Inhuman, because they’re prettiest.
I love the cover for Riveted!
Ohhh, Nalini always gets such great covers.
in Human & A Apple for the Creature & Archangels Storm by the cover a lone make me want to see what there about.
I LOVE THE POLLS!!!! OK, I VOTED FOR NALINI SINGH’S ARCHANGELS STORM. GOTTA GO WITH THE GUY WITH THE WINGS. EVERYTIME. OF COURSE TALE OF TWO VAMPIRES ISN’T HARD ON THE EYES EITHER. DRAGON MOON IS ALSO VERY NICE TOO!! IN OTHERS WORDS I’D DO ANY OR ALL. TEEHEE
It was a long weekend and I needed an excuse not to work outside, lol. My laziness rebirthed the poll!! Yay!!
Riveted
I was torn between two - Blood Forever and Inhuman - and actually had to look at them all again before I finally decided on Inhuman.
Books sounds great
Wow! So many books to add to the TBR list and such great covers…I tend to like the ones with animals but have to admit that blue is my favorite color so that always attracts my attention!
So many of these covers were just beautiful, I had to go back a few times to decide. But ultimately, it was “A Tale of Two Vampires” by Katie MacAlister that really stuck with me.
There are many great ones but I went with Katie MacAlister’s A TALE OF TWO VAMPIRES. That guy is HAWT
I voted for Clean,Have Stakes and In a Fix. Clean is very different and gives a good indication of what the book is about. The other two also seem to reflect their subject matter, which as a reader I find helpful.
Love nalini’s book cover and women’s book is fantastic too love the lickable abs.
I voted for Outpost. The cover looks creepy and interesting!
