Apptronica Releases Community Compilation Album To Benefit Nepal
Digital record label Apptronica announces the release of “Dreaming Together (For the People of Nepal)“, with proceeds to be donated to Habitat for Humanity’s Disaster Response Fund.
SEATTLE, WA - “Dreaming Together“ is a collaboration project consisting of different takes, reworks, and remixes of a guitar track by Apptronica artist Martin Neuhold. The album consists of 26 tracks by 21 different independent artists, with all tracks produced using iOS apps and devices. The album release, which was originally scheduled for May 18, was expedited in the wake of the second earthquake on Tuesday.
“We recognize the importance of getting support to relief efforts as soon as possible”, states label president Clif Johnston. “The first few weeks are the most critical.” Apptronica hopes that the album will help to raise awareness of the desperate situation faced by millions of displaced people in Nepal.
Apptronica chose Habitat for Humanity because the organization has worked in Nepal for over 18 years, helping tens of thousands of families with transitional and permanent housing.
