my preference is for URBAN FANTASY and PARANORMAL ROMANCE. I am gray haired and not motivated to read YA.
I love the reviews offered now, but I buy a lot of books for my grandchildren so reviews on Manga and Young Adult would be great
Prefer humorous romance, humorous paranormal, humorous mystery/suspense.
I voted for kids and middlegrade. I have an almost 6 year old daughter, and it would be cool to find books of the paranormal/fantasy variety that would be appropriate for her (and/or to know about in advance for when she is a little older.)
Erotica and new adult…
Manga caught my eye because I love manga. So doesn’t my teen sons. I had an author once ask m via messenger kid-orientated manga for their child. Of course I had to enlist the aid of some of my anime and manga friends,,,, but it would be neat to see that..
the other options do not interest me. I like my urban fantasy, fantasy, and paranormal romance and steam punk.
Personally, I don’t see any need for more reviews of YA in any subgenre. There are so many blogs and publisher sites with promos focused on YA that it is already ridiculous.
I read a great review of a children’s book on Google today. I think that it takes expertise beyond that which many book reviewers may have to properly review children’s literature — to understand that children need and enjoy reading that does much more than cause them to giggle. If you have a reviewer on staff who is qualified my education, there’s some need there as school don’t always do a good job communicating about recreational reading to parents.
Personally, I would like to see more reviews of literature written for adults who are not prudish or fainthearted. It’s very hard, for example, to find a review of a science fiction novel for adults as the primary genre. Almost all of the reviews available are about “science fiction or fantasy” as a sugenre of YA, and that’s a totally different kind of book. YA is not really science fiction or fantasy. It’s YA.
There’s also a ton of book reviews available out there for Romance already. These reviews have all kinds of subgenres like YA, which also has a romance subgenre called coming of age, and also GLBTQ, so, personally, I don’t see the need for any more reviews of Romance novels.
Anyway, I could go on but…. Summary: I want reviews of Science Fiction, Horror, Fantasy (not epic), novels that are written to be read by adults, not those to be read by kids.
I picked m/m (my favorite genre, and there’s so much to navigate), comics/manga, and nonfiction.
I picked Comics and other. I love reading comics, and would like to see more reviews of them, tons of awesome stuff out there, also more great horror stories, I really love the dystopian genre, and some sci fi would be nice. I’m not into the hard technical sci fi stuff, but would like to see more space/alien related things.
I like the books that are reviwed right noW! One of the great things about this site is that the focus is right where it should be.
Historical romance is my 1st true love if romance genre, so would live to see more of thuse. Also Erotica Historical Romances are such out if the norm & fantastic NAUGHTINESS.
I love comics and manga and they are less reviewed, so I’m interested in them. Also there are few YA reviewed on BBB, at least it seems so to me.
I love paranormal romance but honestly I think you do a nice distribution of genre.
My favorite genres are paranormal romance and urban fantasy and you do a great job of reviewing these categories. Other types of book reviews I am interested in are adult fantasy, science fiction, horror, and historical romance.
My genre preference is cozy/murder mysteries; can’t read enough of them.
My preference is YA and New Adult.

I am perfectly happy with what we are reviewing now! I like that we are a bit more focused, it pretty much guarantees that all of the reviews are going to be relevant to me.
I love paranormal romance, contemporary romance, but voted for erotica.

I voted for other and comics/manga. My favorite genres are paranormal, urban fantasy, historical, and manga….so the only reviews I really read or look for are in those categories.
