Help Us Get Our Facebook Group Back!

missingFBAs many of you know we have a fantastic friendly discussion group on Facebook that we have had in place since 2009. Actually I should say HAD. Because at some point after 8:13 pm last Friday night our group DISAPPEARED.

Yep, GONE, vanished, no warning or notice from anybody.

There could be several things happening:

A. It’s a glitch with Facebook and it will come back
B. Somebody or a group of somebody’s reported our group to FB and they shut down the group.
C. Maybe some of you can see it and I can’t and I need to adjust my meds.

The most likely suspect is option A.

In the interim. I ask that you come and chat on our FB Fan page here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Bitten-by-Books-The-Review-Site-with-Bite/152478347320

We have several messages into FB and have since about 8:30 am Saturday morning and have not heard back. While we all love our group and I personally think it is one fo the most important groups I frequent, the real world takes precedent over my desires (darn the cruel world!). In other words FB admins have BIGGER fish to fry and more important real world issues to take care of besides our small and lovely book discussion group.

HELP Us Get the Group Back:

Please HELP us get our group back. Here are easy step by step directions.
To contact FB and report our missing group.
1. Click the link to the group https://www.facebook.com/groups/59929467915/
2. You should see the error message or group not available message. Please note, it what each of you sees may be slightly different for each person depending on the device/browser you are using.
3. Go to the far right at the top and you should see a drop down arrow (see pic below). Click on it, then click “Report a Problem”.
4. After clicking on “Report a Problem” you should see this menu. Choose “Something Isn’t Working.”
5. Once you have clicked on Something Isn’t Working you should see this screen:
Once you have this dialog box above open, click on the drop down that says “What’s the Problem” and select “Groups”
In the box that says “What Happened” please include a message to Facebook similar to the one below. Feel free to copy and paste this if you like.

“My favorite book discussion group went missing Friday night 6/12/15. The group admins have contacted Facebook about the missing group, but have heard nothing back and the group is still missing.
Please restore the Bitten by Books Facebook Discussion Group. It is my favorite group and we talk about books and book related items every day. There are over 2000 members missing out on our daily interaction. I am including the group link here for your convenience: https://www.facebook.com/groups/59929467915/

    THis happened to another group I belonged to. The fb page just up and disappeared and they eneded up having to start a new group fo the same name.
