BBB: What was it like when you got the word that your first novel would be published?
KM: I was thrilled! It was with a small e-publisher, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. It didn’t take me long to realize that writing the book was only the beginning.

BBB: What is your best scar? Tell the story of how you got it.
JF: My initial instinct is to point to the scar on the chin of my lead character, Eve Hale, in The Mark on Eve, which is so relevant to her story, but we will get into that later. Of the number of scars I possess, I’ll pick the one on my forearm, which was my first scar. It came about one summer Read More »

The first time I met Remy, I walked through the front doors of Dark Sepulcher, on a mission to find out what happened to my mother.
A lot had changed since then. Now I find myself living in Blind Bluff Manor, a sanctuary owned by a human Nathan Tiernan. There’s so much wrong with that concept. We’re the only two humans living here among three Deamhan. Hallie, a newly made Deamhan who has still yet to understand her new life, Anastasia, a Ramanga, and Remy who is a Lamia. Read More »

BBB: As a child, what did you wish to become when you grew up? (besides being an author)
DJC: A teacher! I was constantly rounding up the kids in the neighborhood, seating them in chairs, and teaching them things. Obviously, since they likely wanted to be anywhere but in school, I had a rather forceful personality (and a candy jar!)

BBB: Can you fake any accents?
AA: I have a mongrel accent of my own (born in Eastern Europe and learned English at age 10 primarily in an American school in an ex-British colony in southern Africa, went to school in Britain, lived for 13 years in South Africa, lived for 6+ years in New Zealand, moved to the United States when I married) - I talk too fast NOT to be a native English speaker but people can’t nail me down to a given accent at any time and some guesses have been absolutely hilarious in their time. BBB: If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
RZ: Thanks so much for having me over here today! If I could have any superpower, it’d be the ability to heal/cure people with a touch. To just touch somebody and make them perfectly healthy would be absolutely amazing, although there’d have to be some sort of cost. There always is.
