Weirdly Vol 2 is a collection of 23 short stories by various authors such as Jaye Wells, C.T. Adams, Gary Madden and more. The stories cover different areas of the paranormal genre. Highlighting just a few of the stories:

The Man in the Mirror by C.T. Adams
Jean Paul Carpentier was imprisoned in a mirror by his brother. He asks Julietta to release him from his prison. Will she be able to help him?

Espirit de Corps by James Goodman
Staff Sergaent Gibson and his men are rangers patrolling in the Middle East. Their mission is to take out a facility located in the middle of the desert. They unknowingly release something into the air causing a chemical reaction. They try to get to the nearest town to escape the area and from being exposed to the chemical toxins. Will they be able to escape before they are exposed like the people in the nearest town were?

Entanglements by Gary Madden
Sam was on top of the world and on his way to meet with another client. On his way there, he encounters a traffic jam and chooses to leave the interstate for a winding country road, hoping to find his way around the traffic. When he stops for directions, he encounters a strange woman who gives him strange directions. When he follows them, he finds himself further lost. Will he make it to another day?

The Fluffs by Daniel I. Russell
What happens when you kill a bee? Or a fly? Shaun’s brother once told him that if a member of a bee’s family were around, that they would extract revenge for the death of their family member. Shaun didn’t believe him. Perhaps he should have.

Red Life by Jaye Wells
Carmina Sargosa is a fugitive and seeks sanctuary at the Sisters of the Crimsons Rectory. They will give her protection for only 24 hours from the Troika assassins. She must decide what to do next. Will she continue to run or join the resistance?

I have to give this anthology 4 1/2 tombstones. I don’t normally gravitate towards anthologies because they feel like teasers to me and I always want the author to write more background about the story, but when I heard about this on one of the yahoo groups that I was in, I was intrigued and wanted to read it. I wasn’t disappointed. Each story gave a tantalizing glimpse into the world of the paranormal. I still would have loved to have more but most of the stories were just enough to enjoy. I also would recommend this book if you want something that you can read a little bit of and still be able to put down between stories. I enjoyed Jaye Wells’ story and look forward to reading her first novel.

Book Excerpt: “From paranormal to weird, from chilling to odd to scary, Weirdly Volume 2: Eldritch will sate your lust for strangeness in bite-sized pieces. Each tale weaves its own spell. Vampires, beasts, ghosts, evil creatures and, of course, every day people inhabit Weirdly’s pages.

Soldiers must reach their destination before the undead get to them first… What does the picture on the wall mean to Jen? Fate holds something in store for Lewis–but is it what he wants? Lillie embarks on another quest… Is the young man who sees and hears fluffy beings insane? An old letter urges a young woman to the train station–but is the train that puffs into view real? All these tales and more. Dare you read them?”
