Ms. Delight takes us back to Devon Falls in this third installment in the series. This time she focuses on Alicia Stevens, the owner of the Dew Drop Inn. She and Damien Dacon of the Dragon Inn, were once lovers. They were torn apart when Damien had to choose between her or family. But neither could get the other out of their mind. Damien returns to Devon Falls after his grandfather passes away and he can be free to claim what is his. Alicia has a secret of her own to share.

I have been enjoying reading Ms. Delight’s Devon Falls series. Her first story appeared in Babes in Toyland II and focused on Jenna, then she wrote Red Hot Magic, which focused on Raven. In the third installment, Fiery Magic, we meet Alicia, who is Jenna’s sister. Fiery Magic is as an enjoyable read as the first two stories were. I liked Damien as a main character to the story and thought that his story and background were well told. There is definitely character and charisma to Damien and Alicia’s relationship. Alicia’s bitterness and anger at his leaving her, yet those feelings haven’t taken over and turned her love for him. The sparks fly when the two reunite. I look forward to the next book in the series (Haunted Magic which comes out in October 2008) and I hope that there are plans in the future to bring all the threads of the stories together. Thus far we’ve been teased and tantalized with the introduction of each new couple. If you’re looking for a fun, lighthearted series, then check out the Devon Falls series.
