Zita and her friend, Joseph, encounter a fragment that falls from space. As they examine it, they are pulled into space and flung far from home. Separated, Zita goes in search of Joseph, trying to help rescue him from a race who think that Joseph is the answer to their prophecy and that he will rescue them from an impending asteroid strike.
Zita the Spacegirl is a cute graphic novel suitable for kids of all ages. The characters are friendly and fun, and seeing how Zita helps the other outcasts she meets is encouraging and uplifting for all. I loved the characters that Zita encounters and how she helps them out, without caring about her own safety.
An easy read, this is a great book to share with a younger sibling or family members. The graphics are clear to understand with just enough dialogue to help move the action along.
