Kendall Moorhead is having terrifying visions of her own death. Her boyfriend, Jason, thinks she needs to slow down with her ghost hunting, but Kendall knows that her gift was meant to help people. When the Mayor starts complaining about aches and pains, Kendall somehow senses that the Mayor’s problems are tied to an unhappy spirit. Kendall’s spirit guide, Emily, warns Kendall that she should stay away from the Mayor’s house, but Kendall is determined to figure out who the woman she saw in the attic window is and why this woman wants to hurt the Mayor.
Book three in the Ghost Huntress series finally reveals Emily’s connection to Kendall, but while this question is answered, Marley Gibson leaves us with many more. Kendall is on a path of self-discovery, and although The Reason sees her saying goodbye to friends that have been with her since Book 1 The Awakening, there are several hints that promise new characters will be joining her in future stories.
The end of The Reason leaves Kendall uncertain of her future plans but promises that this is in no way the end of her ghost hunting adventures. And that is a very good thing!
