The Dark Glamour by Gabriella Pierce

The Dark Glamour: A 666 Park Avenue Novel by Gabriella PriceOn the run after her disastrous wedding, Jane Boyle Doran is doing her best to hide in plain sight, right under her mother-in-law’s nose, in the middle of Manhattan. Discovering that her mother-in-law, Lynne, only wanted her to produce an heir to pass the family’s magic on was enough to make both Jane and Malcolm, her husband, run in separate directions to save themselves.

When Jane learned how much Lynne would sacrifice to have her missing daughter returned to her, Jane, with the help of her friends, uses her powers to create a new outer appearance in order to infiltrate the Doran family’s fortress at 665 Park Avenue. Short, blonde Jane suddenly morphs into tall, dark, and beautiful Ella, develops a new persona to go with the appearance, and sets out to work her way into the family’s attentions. However, she has only thirty days to accomplish everything she needs to before she turns back into Jane.

After meeting Jane and the Doran family in 666 Park Avenue, I was curious about how Jane had fared once the wedding was over. The Dark Glamour answered all my questions, and was a thoroughly enjoyable read, besides. I loved Jane’s courage in going ahead with the totally changed appearance spell, and liked the way she managed to have a little (okay, a lot) of fun along the way. I can hardly wait for the next book in this series to be released.

About Mary

My name is Mary, and I’m a serious book junkie, with a large personal collection of reading material. I’m fascinated by ghosts, the paranormal, and true crime stories. I love discovering the possibilities in the next world and am curious about the reasons people do what they do in this one. I’ve been reading since the age of 3, and always have a book or two or three going. I’m an elementary school substitute teacher, and I always have a book or two in my “bag of tricks”. My new favorite is “Frog in a Bog”. My husband and daughter do not share my passion for books, and secretly think I’ve gone over the top with my collecting and reading habits, but I firmly believe there are worse habits I could have!
