St. Martin’s Moon by Marc Vun Kannon

St. Martin's Moon by Marc Vun KannonJoseph Marquand is on a mandated vacation when he gets the call. Although there are other lupe hunters on the force, this case is unique in its location. Though Marquand had his sights set on a quiet bed and breakfast and a few dart games with his buddies, the force has a different agenda. What Triple S wants, Triple S gets, and he soon finds himself on the way to the moon. The food is bland, the residents are not too friendly, and it soon becomes clear that there are some who do not want him on the base. He does find a common thread with a Doctor and the Communications Officer, but he quickly discovers that things are not what they seem.

Although St. Martin’s Moon is very well-written, I kept feeling as though I walked in on a secret society that had their own special code I was not privy to. I thought that I would settle in after a few pages, but by page fifty I felt pretty lost. Somewhere around page eighty I started to lock in on the bread crumbs, and then the story wrapped itself up with a neat little bow. Curiosity got the better of me so I started the book again and it was much clearer the second time around. I think this could be a good read for others. Try it out to see if you are one of the elite.

About AJ

Blessed by parents who read to her in the womb, AJ learned to read by the age of 3. She now has an entire room dedicated to reading, with shelves of books stacked to the ceiling, in addition to a stack of books in every room. Her obsession with the written word eventually developed into the desire to write her own stories. Someone saw talent in her and she found work as a Writer/Editor. It was pure heaven. Her husband, who rarely read a book, caught the fever and is now engrossed in another series of books. Passing on the tradition of reading to her child in the womb, her daughter now sleeps in a room with stacks of books surrounding her and just won an award for logging the most reading time in a school with over 500 students.
