Amish Zombies from Space by Kerry Nietz

Amish Zombies from Space by Kerry NietzAfter the trials on board the Raven, life has changed for the Amish who were resettled on Miller’s Resolve. Life is not as isolated as it had been on their old planet, plus they have been taking in pilgrims willing to settle with them and follow their lifestyle. Occasionally though the odd voyeur comes by, curious to see what the Amish are, especially since Amish stories have become very popular among the vids.

Jebediah and Sarah Miller settle on Obelisk to raise their child and Dr. Darly also chose to stay on Obelisk, her interest still piqued in regards to what caused the infestation on the Raven in the first place.

Mr. Greels finishes incarceration on Obelisk, then finds himself stuck planetside with no prospects for improvement.

When Greels and the Millers cross paths, life takes an interesting turn that will change everyone.

This is a sequel to Amish Vampires in Space, to help answer a few of the unfinished questions at the end of that story. This was a great story and not your typical zombies either! Which makes sense since the vamps weren’t your typical vamps either. Kudos to Mr. Nietz for keeping it new and fresh and exciting. His characters are well crafted, allowing us to see into their hearts and minds.

The twists to these zombies are more terrifying than their counterparts in literature.

I have thoroughly enjoyed Amish Zombies from Space, as well as its predecessor. They are fun, quirky, and yet still true to both of the genres they pull from. I would recommend them to mature readers. Mr. Nietz has done his research and his characters are full of life and true to their heritage. A commendable feat!
