Unbound by Kay Danella

Asrial might have been born of the House of Dilaryn but the princess no longer was considered royalty even to herself. She was a rim rat, scavenging from abandoned planets in hopes to survive on her own piloting her own starship, The Castel. Finding such a cache of relics on the remote planet was going to retrofit the ship and give her only living family extra income as well. The man she found beside her bed was not a pleasure bod or an escaped grounder who somehow got past the ships security; in fact, he didn’t even show up on the scans as being on The Castel.

Romir Gadana had no idea how long he had been in his prison before being called forth by his new master. The “ship” she had brought him to was nothing like he had ever seen or imagined. The djinn needed to find answers, hoping that someone had finally found a way to break the curse that had condemned him to immortal life confined to a vase and bound to his masters’ demands. This master was different though, and having sex with her was keeping him out of his prison for now, but who knew if the next time he was pulled back in to it was to be his last.

Her only chance to help him from forever being tied to a prison he never had given any hope to escaping was to go back home, back to the planet and the people who abandoned her father and their family when they most needed them—when her father had given up everything to protect them—and to the dangers from those who still were a threat to her life. Romir did not want to allow Asrial to sacrifice herself for him, but as his new master, he could not stop the sexy and determined woman from following the only lead they had to the answers they both needed, to a life that called to them both no matter how unrealistic their dreams might be. They had to go back to Salima and the House Dilaryn’s hereditary domain, Lomida, where they would find both answers and more questions while thwarting a threat that put them both in danger.

This was an awesome read. I loved their interactions and banter as they learned the secrets of their pasts and the connection that bound them together. Their intimate encounters were erotic and sinfully delicious as they found comfort in each other’s arms and the immediate connection that sent them towards their destiny. One of the better erotic sci-fi books I have read this year, I was immediately drawn into their world and into their flight to find both answers and find happiness with the perfect partner.
