Robyn fights everyday to keep control of her drug addiction now that she is clean, but there are days where strange things happen and she feels her resolve weaken. A stranger showing up almost everywhere she goes, Mr. Durant’s increasingly odd behavior and the secrets he is keeping from her. The mean spirited children Robyn goes to school with, until she makes friends with a shy boy named Patrick.
Then there are the Wolves of Androcolus. How do they fit into all their lives? What mysteries are uncovered and what consequences do those mysteries have in store for Robin, her new dad (Mr. Durant), and her friend Patrick?
The Wolves of Androcolus is written so well that it pulls you in and makes you feel like you are a part of the book. I could feel and understand Robyn’s mistrust and her curiosity. I laughed with her, was sad for her, and empathized with Robyn, her dad (Mr. Durant), and even Patrick. Author Barnabus Corbin is able to bring his story to life with his words. As I read The Wolves of Androcolus, I could picture everything that was going on in my mind just like I was watching a movie through his words.
