The Clash of Good and Evil by Scott Winfield

Chad, Alexis and crew are back to finish their fight against evil . They have recruited two new agents to help them solve the case. With the death of Nick Oxfire, his brother, Alex, steps up as the new leader and quickly travels to the past for recruits, including two infamous killers in history. However, our heroes have gotten more powerful and wily after their previous battles with this nefarious group. They quickly discover the key to Alex’s powers and go in search of the objects that help him jump through time.

Through all this, Chad and Lexi’s relationship continues to blossom and love is definitely in the air. Their love for each other forces Chad to face some difficulties from his past that bring about a surprise visitor and an interesting twist.

The introduction of the two historic killers early in the story added a bit of intrigue, but the author did not use them to his full benefit. Again, there were a lot of disjointed conversations, meals and resting when more character development would have served better. There was mention of shapeshifting ability for our heroes that never materialized in the story. While this story seemed to have a little more substance, the plot was still lacking and it again ended suddenly. With all the interest in food, the author might considered a funny paranormal cookbook for his next venture. Sadly, there is even a typo in the author’s name. Who wouldn’t notice that? There just isn’t enough attention to detail for me to take this author seriously.

About Jaded

Blessed by parents who read to her in the womb, Jaded learned to read by the age of 3. She now has an entire room dedicated to reading, with shelves of books stacked to the ceiling, in addition to a stack of books in every room. Her obsession with the written word eventually developed into the desire to write her own stories. Someone saw talent in her and she found work as a Writer/Editor. It was pure heaven. Her husband, who rarely read a book, caught the fever and is now engrossed in another series of books. Passing on the tradition of reading to her child in the womb, her daughter now sleeps in a room with stacks of books surrounding her and just won an award for logging the most reading time in a school with over 500 students.
