Heidi Labeidi had once been one of the most famous madams in Nevada before being betrayed by the man she loved in this very apartment. She was going to show her new roommate that he, most of all, deserved to find pleasure with his own devices. But there might be a few complications as she had not only lived in the apartment but died there as well.
Barron Capwell was one of Edward’s partners and the only one who didn’t think that he had lost his mind by seeing and believing in a ghost. He needed to understand what was going on with his friend and the feisty lady that he, too, could see and whom he felt was a big part of why his friend’s name was being splashed around the paper saying he was a mad man and talked to himself.
Wanting revenge, but wanting a connection with the two men who could both see and touch her more, the trio indulge in some physical interactions. But when the past comes back to the loft, it is not only a threat to Heidi and her grasp on “life” but also a threat to the two men who were able to give her the one thing that had eluded her during her short life: love.
I was intrigued by this book and wanted to see what adventure and intimacies two men could share with a ghost. It was a nice way to spend a cold afternoon but it lacked the spark I was hoping for. The story was very intriguing but I found it was a bit disconnected in places. The threat from the past was almost too easy to overcome, and there was little to no question for the two men who readily accepted they could be the only two who physically and emotionally could touch a ghost from the past.
