Resurrecting Harry by Constance Phillips

Resurrecting Harry by Constance PhillipsHarry Houdini’s ultimate trick goes horribly wrong, and he dies. His wife, Bess, is obsessed with his promise to contact her from the afterlife. To do this, Bess must befriend Harry’s biggest enemy. Will her plans to bring him back work? Can Bess resurrect the love of her life, or will it lead to more heartbreak?

Resurrecting Harry is a truly unique book, the storyline just amazing. What if Harry had a second chance at life by escaping death? His wife, Bess, is devastated by his death, but determined to do anything to bring the love of her life back to her. Her grief is heartbreaking, and if you have ever lost someone you loved, it is very emotional to read. This is normally not the type of genre that I read, but I was very pleasantly surprised at how much I really liked and enjoyed this story.

The storyline of Harry’s soul being put in someone else’s body, and all that Harry must do to get past the obstacles and boundaries of death to return to his beloved Bess are amazing. Resurrecting Harry is very emotional, from true love, death, and grief to trying to return from the dead. It is a wonderful book, and I look forward to Ms. Phillips’ next book.
