Welcome to the poll of the week!! Polling runs through Sunday, June 22nd. FIRST VOTE on the bottom RIGHT HAND SIDE of the site then stop here to tell us “Favorite Mixed Magic/Creature Series for Round TWO“. and why you chose your answers. The only VOTES that count are the ones on the actual poll not the comments! We will have a final round in week four to determine who is the winner from the top FIVE of rounds one through three.

  1. This round was a bit harder but Jane Yellowrock, October Daye, & Spellcrackers by Suzanne McLeod (which is super awesome & more people should read!)

  2. Spot on with this write-up, I absolutely believe that this site needs far more attention. I’ll
probably be returning to see more, thanks for the advice!

  3. Choosing favorites off of this list was really tough. So many great books!

  4. I voted for the Lux series. J. Armentrout is a great author!

  5. Jane Yellowrock by Faith Hunter Riley Jensen series by Keri Arthur Mortal Instrument series by Cassandra Clare they all sound good

  6. Awwww, Parasol Protectorate didn’t make the poll. Oh, well. It looks like I haven’t read much in the middle of the alphabet, so my 2 votes were October Daye and Mortal Instruments.

  7. I voted for Immortals After Dark by Kresley Cole, Mercy Thompson by Patricia Briggs, and Psy/Changeling by Nalini Singh.

  8. Ohh now this was a hard one. There were about five I wanted to vote for.

  9. Last week I only sort of wanted to vote for one; this week I wanted to vote for at least 5!!! No fair! I voted for October Daye (my absolute favorite,) Spellcrackers, and Sabina Kane. It pained me to untick Mercy Thompson and Kate Daniels, but figured they would pick up plenty of votes without my help.

  10. So many good choices! But my fave was The Others by Anne Bishop for a different take on shifters.

  11. I vote
    1.Mercy Thompson series
    2.Riley Jensen series
    3.Immortals after Dark Series

  12. This was tough, I love so many of these series. In the end, I had to vote for Laurell K. Hamilton, Patricia Briggs and Ilona Andrews. I just love the variety of people/creatures,etc in their books. They are some of my absolute favorites.

  13. all ones I love but the Lux series and Mortal Instruments are my fav

  14. This week’s choices are a harder pick. Mercy Thompson and Riley Jensen are two of my favorite series so they were a must. The third was harder, I decided on Jane Yellowrock

  15. Aloysius Tales for me–so much fun!

  16. Spellcrackers series by Suzanne McLeod (19%, 15 Votes)
Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa (6%, 5 Votes)
Lux series by Jennifer Armentrout (5%, 4 Votes)

All 3 of them I chose and love because of their authors

  17. This was a hard one for me and in the end 3 stood as they sit in my favourites folder and are absolutely must reads. Jane Yellowrock (I love Beast), Jessica McClain, I love that world too and Jessica is one awesome character and probably my favourite on this list, Susan Illene’s Sensor series she is an author more people need to know about, I love her world and her characters, they totally pull me in.

  18. I voted only for Mortal Instrument series by Cassandra Clare.

  19. Immortals After Dark, Riley Jenson and The Mortal Instruments for me :).

  20. Gosh it is always so HARD. My first 2 of the 3 were a tad easier… but narrowing down the 3rd….ugh.

  21. Adore the Jane Yellowrock series. :D

  22. There are 7 series I would vote for if I could in this round. Do you choose the best books or the best creatures? So tough!

  23. I chose Patricia Briggs and Jaye Wells. I have read all of these books thus far and they are my faves on the list. I have all of the Laurell K. Hamilton books that my mother left me when she passed, since it was her fave series, but cannot bring myself to read them…yet. I know I will, though. I would have liked to have seen Kim Harrison on there, or Molly Harper, Kimberly Raye, Jeaniene Frost, Dakota Cassidy, and Angie Fox….so many to choose from!

  24. I love Immortals After Dark and the Black Dagger Brotherhood – such great characters.

  25. My favorite series isn’t on the list. I love the Imp series by Debra Dunbar.

  26. Man there are several on this list I love. Mercy Thompson series, Kate Daniels by Ilona Andrews Psy/Changling series, and Kreley Cole’s Immortal after dark.
    I love them all.

  27. Had to go with Mercy Thompson (of course) but also October Daye and the Iron Fey. Great series in general but for this ‘topic’ 3 excellent choices.

  28. I voted for Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa.

  29. An interesting discussion is worth comment. There’s no doubt that that you need
to write more about this issue, it might not be a taboo
matter but typically people do not speak about such subjects.
    To the next! Cheers!!

  30. Seanan McGuire’s Toby Daye series is one of my favorite series of books of any type! And I am really enjoying her InCryptids series (and am currently reading its sorta-spin-off Sparrow Hill Road. Holy ghosts is it amazeballs!)

  31. Mercy Thompson, Jane Yellowrock, Indigo Court. I chose these three because they were the ones I saw that I not only knew, but loved. I developed a heavy yin for Patricia Briggs earlier this year, ironically while suffering from Yasmine withdraws. And then I found Ms. Yellowrock while going through Mercy withdraws. It was a cycle vicious and thoroughly enjoyable. I must say that when put in the same setting as the other two, I don’t like the Indigo court as much, in fact I feel like they shouldn’t be anywhere near the same poll. These are very different worlds with way different feels in world set up. Jane is from a way less “magic” more primal supernatural setting. Mercy is more of the Earth and urban not so much magic as power I guess. And Then Ceicily is hard core magic with the shapshifting as an afterthought. Put my girl Ceicily against, well honestly I can’t think of anyone who could compete with her except the D’Artigo’s. Oh no The Black Swan Series by Richelle Mead, there’s someone who could rival Ceicily Waters. Mercy and her ilk are good with Jane, two kick ass shape changing women.

  32. I picked Patricia Briggs’ Mercy and jane yellow rock, but completely missed Ilona Andrews!!! Ugh. I love the strong female protagonists and alpha males that SUPPORT them, not stand in front of them
