Eternity by Stephanie Bedwell-Grime

Jared had a hard life when he was alive, and has yet to make much of life in death. He has been assigned many missions to complete by the Chief Spirit and has squandered many of those opportunities. Sandy Logan is his last chance to redeem himself. Sandy is still coming to terms with her death. When she is assigned to Jared’s mission, she almost forgets that she is there to help Thomas move on with his life, but not to hinder him. However, she does not know that if she fails, she will be dooming Jared to punishment for eternity. She also does not know that by falling in love with Jared and acting on that love, that she could be dooming herself as well as Jared to punishment forever.

I give this book 3 1/2 tombstones. Overall, the story had promise. Sandy and Jared had a chance to redeem themselves and move on in the afterlife. However, while Jared and Sandy were noble in trying to save each other from punishment near the end of the book, it seemed as if that part of the story was a little dragged out. I was entertained by this story and had to hang in to find out how it ended. The ending was a little bit of a surprise and I’d love to see a sequel to the story to see what happens to Jared and Sandy in the future. This was not your typical paranormal romance which did make it an enjoyable read. If you’re looking for something that is not your typical paranormal romance and if you like stories of ghosts and redemption, you may want to check this book out.

Book Excerpt: “After a horrific car accident Sandy Logan finds herself trapped in limbo with only one way out.
