Echoes of Darkness by Victoria M. Noxon

Working in a morgue, Liz is already spooked working the night shift when her boss calls her in for an important autopsy. She is shocked when the latest victim she is slicing open wakens during his autopsy. He is an immortal warrior with many regrets, and she is a psychic. Will he be able to move on from his past that haunts him and affirm his love for Liz? He has to prove to Liz, a mortal, that there is evil stalking them. How will they be able to stay safe in a world of ancient evil? If he cannot protect Liz, she will be the next victim.

This was a wonderfully suspenseful, paranormal book that I totally enjoyed. The writing thoroughly immersed me in each page and left me eagerly awaiting the next. It was a very interesting read, and I look forward to the next book in this amazing series.
