I am very picky about the sci-fi I read. Anything too sci-fi for me (space travel, aliens), I cannot get in to. What I do like is fiction with a nominal yet important science basis (quantum physics, medicine, technology) that occurs either in the present or the not-too-distant future. Rowan McBride’s One Shot is this type of science fiction but that is just the catalyst to what turns out to be a great office romance story between two men.
