This book was undeniably one of the highlights of my week. The satire and wit abounds in this first book in J. Morgan’s Love Bites series which had me laughing out loud throughout the entire book. References to current social events and both real and fictional entertainers not only adds to the humor but also brings the characters to life in a more corporeal form. Parnormal fans of Buffy, Angel, Ash, and Anne Rice will be amused by references to these legends in the genre. (more…)

A fun, breezy ride is what best describes the journey that one takes while reading How Wicked Can She Go. A light read, Wicked starts with the journey of a witch named Nikki, tasked with actually working for a living. This work consists of showing exactly how wicked she can be by destroying the chances that her client, Gregory, has of finding true love. She finds herself more intrigued than anything else with her new client.

Elfing Around By J. Morgan

Esmeralda Avangella Bottrice is an elf. Funny hat and all she is a Christmas elf on a assignment from the big guy (Santa) to do some last minute checking on the naughty and nice list. Unfortunately Essie has been sent to the small southern town of Shelton. Of course it being the deep south it is nice and hot for the holidays, not something Essie is to thrilled about.. But things get much more interesting for her when her EUB (Elfin Utility Belt Mark 2000) malfunctions and she is hauled off to the local police station as a prostitute (Or Hoor as the deputy who takes her in phrases it). That is where she meets Sheriff Dalton and everything in her cut and dried elf mindset gets turned on its ear.
