Maliha Crayne was offered eternal life by a demon with one small caveat: she must be his assassin and do his dirty work as long as she was alive. However, Mahila tired of the stain that killing brought upon her soul and reinvented herself after discovering a loophole in her contract with a demon. This is the final chapter of Lopaka and Kimo’s story. It is told from Lopaka’s father’s Paden’s perspective. It was foretold that Paden would fight the Secret Council for his son; this scared him so he ran away from his destiny. He fell in love with a god, who turned out to be a cruel cannibal. In the last book, Paden chose to sacrifice himself, or a part of himself, to save Lopaka and Kimo’s son, Little Kimo, from the Council. (more…)
