Teake is sent to Taggart’s Bend to conduct a Blood Oath with Kassian Grigoriv. As a witch, Teake must have a Guardian to complete the ceremony. Mother Nature – Gaia – chooses a vampire named Sebastian. There is instant sexual chemistry between the two, and Teake realizes that there is a strong sense of magic inside Sebastian.

Sebastian finds himself bound to Teake after a sexual encounter with the witch. Within the span of a night Sebastian loses his lover, his family and his home. All he wants is to be alive again. As a vampire his heart does not beat, and he reminisces about his time spent as a human.

I’m giving Blood Magic 4 tombstones. Teake and Sebastian’s story is full of love, betrayal, and acceptance. It shows what people will sacrifice for those they love. There was a twist at the end that I didn’t see coming. Blood Magic is a quick, sensual read that comes highly recommended.

Ares, God of war, has a problem, he can’t get Desi out of his mind, the woman who left him because she was bored. She wounded his ego and now she is haunting his dreams, distracting him from ruling the world.

I love the idea that the ancient Gods are still trying to get our attention, that their power is derived from their follower’s devotion. This is a light hearted fun read that proves even the Gods are only human when it comes to love.
