Terri Simpson was expecting a few weeks of girly wedding planning with her cousin Kate who had met Lucern, the man of her dreams, a few months earlier. Little did she know that she would be housed in Lucern’s family penthouse with his gorgeous brother Bastien. Nor did she expect that, in between the last-minute wedding debacles and dealing with the rest of the penthouse-crashers (including some strange soon-to-be-in-laws), she would fall head-over-heels for Bastien Argeneau.

The Argeneau vampire family returns with a twist on the usual formula of Lynsay Sands’ witty romances. Victor Argeneau investigates an unusual personals advertisement placed from a small Canadian town by a woman claiming to be a “real” vampire, only to find a swarm of male immortals already there to answer the call. Sands continues her Argeneau vampire series with a continuation of her overarching plot from the Hunter trilogy, setting up this much-anticipated return to the beloved vampire family nicely. Fans will be happy to know that we finally get the story of Armand Argeneau, whose lack of luck with his wives and lifemates — vampires’ soulmates in the Argeneau universe — has been referenced in several previous novels, setting up for this one beauteously.
