More Than Prophecy by Shannon Leigh
Cheyenne was just trying to get inside her house to avoid the upcoming tornado when she somehow finds herself right in the eye of the storm. Things had started to calm down and she is only a few steps away from the safety of being indoors, when the calm before the big storm finally came through and she was thrown to the ground. When she comes to, she finds herself in a whole different world. Much to her dismay, the first bunch of humans she comes across are genuine barbarians who are looking at her like she is a freak show. To make matters worse, she was practically naked wearing nothing but a flimsy shift. What the heck happened to her clothes? Where is she? Back in the stone age?
Darian, Lord Andreas, was just on the way to find some women company for him and his men, when this blinding light appears out of nowhere and so does this woman. She is unlike any other woman in all of Zandar and he knows then, that somehow they are destined to be together. No matter how much she tries to fight him, she already belongs to him. If only she did not claim to be from Earth of all places. Is she the chosen one? Could the prophecy finally be coming to pass? Then how can he let her existence be known in their world without losing her?
The chosen one will give birth to one who will reunite Zandar and bring peace to the lands. If the chosen one has been found, all the lords and High Ranking Officials must be notified, it is the law. As Cheyenne is the chosen one, men will come from near and far in hope of fathering her child, including Darian’s traitorous brother, Chris, who would take Cheyenne just to spite Darian. As well as his enemy Lord Ramekah, who wants nothing more than to take all of Andreas from Darian. How is Cheyenne supposed to bring peace to these people?
More Than Prophecy is a fantastic read that is really hard to put down once you begin reading. There is more to this story than first meets the eye. The descriptions are excellent giving the reader all the details to the world of Zandar and the people in it. The characters pop out and draw you into their world. Cheyenne is strong willed yet utterly feminine while Darian is your all around man’s man who, through Cheyenne, learns more about the meaning of compassion and mercy. It is thoroughly enjoyable, honest and heartfelt. I sincerely hope that Shannon Leigh will continue on the tales of other people in Zandar.
