Is abstaining an option? LOL>
I love Mark Henry, Michele Bardsley, the ever lovely Dakota Cassidy, and Mario Acevedo.
[Reply]
What about Shelly Laurenston? ‘course I love Davidson, Cassidy, et al, but she deserves a mention, too.
[Reply]
I would have to say Dakota Cassidy. I love her.
[Reply]
Oh another hard one….my 2 favorite guys up against each other and 4 of my lovely ladies……well dang it…….
[Reply]
The only name I recongnize is Michelle Rowen. I haven’t read any of her book but Demon Princess is on my wish list
[Reply]
I picked Kerrelyn Sparks, I always enjoy her books
[Reply]
Aw, I’m so flattered. Thank you, thank you to all the fab reviewers at BBB–now vote Mark or Michele. LOLLOL
seriously, thank you!
Hugs,
Dakota
[Reply]
DUDE! I’m a nominee! Thank you so much! **Dashes off to call Mom**
[Reply]
Hey thanks y’all!!!
[Reply]
Hey ya’ll!
(been practicing my suthren accent)
Post some of your favorite funny lines from your books or other books. Once that make you spew coffee out of your nose or ROFLMAOPIP!
[Reply]
Had to roll with katie this time.
[Reply]
Hey…. thanks!! Normally I’m just considered “funny looking,” but I’ll take this too!
[Reply]
Er, I can’t tell what’s funny and what isn’t.. but in an effort to rise to ze occasion–here we go. From Suck It Up, Princess (what I’m working on now)–a contemp (GASP) prolly out in the fall of 2010. Maybe. I dunno. LOL.
First line of the book–”Welcome to the Cluck-Cluck Palace where we speak beak. May I take your order?”
DC
[Reply]
Had to go with Mark on this one… I think Christopher Moore is the funniest author alive, but despite the supernatural elements in his novels (the Lust Lizard, a demon, vampires) I don’t really consider him to be a “paranormal” author.
Mark, definitely. LMAO funny, too. Plus, he has dogs. At least I’m pretty sure they’re dogs. Each of them weighs about as much as one of my dogs’ heads, but they’re definitely not cats, so that’s good.
[Reply]
That is SO good Dakota! too funny.
We speak beak!
[Reply]
Oh my! J.Morgan was left off the list! I’d vote for him if his name were there. He’s a guaranteed giggle and snort.
Morgan O’Reilly
[Reply]
Sorry folks, I can only put so many up on the side.
There’s always next time!
[Reply]
I voted for the only one I’ve read on that list, Christopher Moore
[Reply]
Well…in HELL TO PAY, a halo of angels shows up for dance lessons all wearing John Travolta’s white polyester dance suit from SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER.
[Reply]
Okay, so I’m prejudiced. We’ll get him up there next time! Thanks, Rachel
Morgan
[Reply]
I just noticed you still have my vlog promo video up. LOL.
[Reply]
Marta Acosta
[Reply]
Thanks, Rachel. So honored to be nominated. Tres cool.
[Reply]
Can I vote like 6 or 7 times?
[Reply]
OMG, Jackie. I came this close (see fingers almost together) to peeing. LOLLOL
DC
[Reply]
Dang.. It’s either Annette or Angie Fox.. Decisions decisions
[Reply]
Michele Bardsley deffinatly
[Reply]
I have to say Dakota Cassidy cracks me up every time!!! I cant wait for the next book!
[Reply]
Thanks, Dakota! And I need a button that says “I speak beak”! You rock, chickie!
[Reply]
This is the hardest one I’ve seen, I have to give some love to Christopher Moore since he was the first one on the list that I had ever read. Though Mark Henry, Dakota Cassidy, and Michele Bardsley crack me up when reading their books.
[Reply]
Dammit, no fair - putting both Mario Acevedo and Mark Henry on the same ballot. Ah, well. Voting accomplished. Mario lost my vote because he still doesn’t have a twitter account, and that’s how I found out about this
[Reply]
I <3 Mark Henry!
[Reply]
I dunno if it took my last comment so I’ll leave another one…
I <3 Mark Henry!
[Reply]
Shelly Laurenston is hilarious. I mean who else is going to have a character that is a 5′1″ woman push around a 6′3″, or so, warrior and have the guy enjoy it while every other character is scared to death of her. But I do have to give props to Lora Leigh with her Breed series. The women threaten castration, decapitation, and anything else that comes to their mind. Great fun to read.
[Reply]
But I guess if I go with the side choices—Dakota takes the “spew the cookie in his face” award.
[Reply]
So many of these are waiting patiently on my TBR shelf. I have read Christopher Moore, very funny. I chose MJD, she made me wake my husband many a time with my giggles.
[Reply]
Well, Katie McAllister has me ROTFL when I read her books.
[Reply]
Man this is harder than a pop quiz….
going to have to think on this one.. how many times can we get away with voting??
[Reply]
I make people spew cookie in the face, people–take that! LMAO
You rock, mech!
DC
[Reply]
Had to go with Mark Henry.
He’s just full of awesome (:
Although all the Authors there are funny.. It’s just so hard to choose! ):
Michelle Rowen you aren’t funny looking! Unless funny looking is in a good way? Is there such a way to look funny looking in a good way?

Great, now I’m rambling.
[Reply]
Taylor…Sure, there’s a good way. Maybe. I dunno.
And I voted for Mark too!!
Ha ha. I’m just kidding. I totally voted for myself, of course.
[Reply]
I love Angie Fox’s characters! I’m not much for the dog as a major character, but Pirate cracks me up. Love those biker witches too.
[Reply]
Dakota Cassidy!!!
[Reply]
Goodness…. Didn’t make it hard or anything didja? I voted for Annette Blair. Although I <3 MJD and Kerrilyn Sparks too….
[Reply]
I’m going to start campaigning for Mario.
[Reply]
I just had to go with MJD on this one. Mainly b/c I can’t go a couple pages without laughing out loud. I haven’t read a fair few of these other authors so I have some new additions to my TBR pile. Looking forward to them.
[Reply]
I’ve only rea a few on the list and out of them I picked Christopher Moore. He is sooooo funny,
[Reply]
[...] until November. But I’ve been nominated at Bitten By Books for funniest paranormal author! Prove your love and vote for me. No, don’t vote for any of my friends also nominated! Vote for ME. Remember, a vote for Jackie [...]
I love several of these authors but for funny I had to go with Christopher Moore.
[Reply]
i personally think maya banks and laurell k hamilton are absolutely amazing when it comes to humor in her books.. illona andrews is good too.. i guess i like subtle humor mixed with all the other aspects of their writing. ive never read any of maya banks books until i read into the lair… it was amazing… made me laugh, made me cry all that jazz.. just an all around good book.
[Reply]
So cool. Cassidy was about to pee? She always says that. And you can find me on Twitter by looking for Adelantearts
[Reply]
I’d have to say that for me it’s a three way tie between Dakota Cassidy, Katie McAllister and Michele Bardsley. I love theri sense of humor and romance. they can take the ordinary, throw it lots of paranormal and make it sing!
[Reply]
There are so many out there that I love! Right now MaryJanice Davidson is my favorite funny girl.
[Reply]
TThis is a hard one. It was a tie between 4 of them so I did what I always do in situations like this… I tossed a coin. Angie Fox was the winner. I love her demon slayer and biker witches.
[Reply]
I definitely feel Dakota with her Accidental books. I mean the concept of someone getting bit by a vampire in a dentists’ office is very creative. Her characters are a hoot and ones that I would love to have for friends. And the guys are to drool over. She’s just the funniest.
[Reply]
I love Linda Wisdom…Fluff and Puff are hilarious. Jazz is a terrific character but her bunny slippers steal the show.
[Reply]
Kerrelyn Sparks.
Period.
This isn’t slap stick, it is the true Art of humor. Her characters are adorable and the situations she writes are inherently comic. With every novel I’m torn between d’awww and laughter. These books make me feel good
[Reply]
I have to go with Angie Fox. Nothing ever goes right for her poor demon slayer.
[Reply]
I just love Kerrylyn Sparks’ books. I can never put them down after I start reading one of them.
[Reply]
We can only vote once?! Oh, dither, dither… But there a couple I haven’t read, so in fairness I’ll have to make a bookstore run
[Reply]
This is so hard - There are so many good and funny paranormal authors… to have to choose just one os just mean! I love MacAlister, Davidson and Sparks! I’ve just bought my first Cassidy book, but loved a recent short of hers. This is hard!
[Reply]
OMG! Kerrelyn Sparks. How to Marry a Millionaire Vampire with Roman’s fang broken off in the neck of a lifesize doll filled with blood. SOOOO funny! I laughed and laughed.
[Reply]
OMG to many of my favs there to vote for one! Dakota Cassidy, Kimberly Raye, Katie MacAlister and Kerrelyn Sparks are all soooooo funny! I start laughing out loud when I read them and people start looking at me funny so I’ve had to start reading them at home only! But the good news is I now have a few new names to go look for at the bookstore!
[Reply]
What about Lynsay Sands? I love her Argeneau vampires.
[Reply]
I definitely will go with the one and only Shelley Laurenston.
[Reply]
Once again, Mark Henry has rigged it against me! *shakes fist menacingly*
[Reply]
mario–I always say that because whenever I’m w/you, you scare me and it makes me have to pee
Jessa–I like yer attitude. How can you make an informed decision if you don’t have all the info? LOLLOL
And thanks to everyone who mentioned me–yer all awesome, and I appreciate it
DC
[Reply]
This is such a hard decision!!! All of the ones listed that I’ve read have made me laugh out loud….I think I’m going to have to flip a coin. Dakota has some great snark…I picture MJ’s scenes in my head and Mark definately gets the award for funniest and most inventive footnotes. (F**king potty mouth is my favorite of them all)
[Reply]
Again a tough one but I am going with Angie Fox. Those biker witches crack me up!!
[Reply]
Dakota Cassidy and MaryJanice Davidson. No contest!
[Reply]
Good God could it have been harder to choose just 1!!! Seriously way too many great authors, but had to go with only one and chose Dakota
[Reply]
I vote for Michelle Rowen! It was a tough call though because so many of these writers are absolutely fabulous and I enjoy all their work.
[Reply]
Hands down, I vote for Kerrelyn Sparks. She is a wonderful writer, and humor galore!
[Reply]
i vote for kerrelyn sparks. i love her books, i only read one of them do but i reaaly want to read the rest of her books. all of them.
[Reply]
I voted for Angie Fox. Her books are great and I LOVE Pirate!!
[Reply]
that was a tough one! So many great authors. It was hard to pick just one!
[Reply]
How can you make us pick just one? LOL I have 8 authors from your poll that are auto buys for me, They are all funny and I love reading their stories. It is just sooo hard to pick 1 favorite, but alas I did and i’m not telling.
[Reply]
Oh, Earlene–we won’t tell anyone-we swear.
LOL-I’m teasing
DC
[Reply]
That was a tough choice. So many funny authors and recommendations for more…
[Reply]
In the end, Katie MacAlister had to win because of one line and one line only: “RUN FOR YOUR LIVES! KILLER BUTTERFLIES!”
[Reply]
Michelle Rowen, most definitely!
[Reply]
I know you told me to vote for Mark, Dakota but I HAD to vote for you cuz you’re my gal!
Doesn’t mean I don’t love the others either. It’s hard to pick just ONE.
Miki
[Reply]
I placed my vote but wanted to publicly state that my all-time favorite was not listed: RONDA THOMPSON’s “Confessions of a Werewolf Supermodel” is the funniest book I’ve ever read! I only recently found it at a used book store & did not realize until I was almost finished with the book that the series promised on the back cover would never be realized due to Ronda’s death a few years ago. What a talent we lost!!!
[Reply]
I had a hard time deciding. My choice is Angie Fox. Have a great day.
[Reply]
I haven’t read anything by Mark Henry so I can’t honestly vote for him. I’ve read and loved Dakota Cassidy’s work, but Kerrelyn Sparks wins hands down for me.
[Reply]
Mary Janice Davidson is my first pick with Michelle Rowen coming in at a close second. I don’t know about Mark Henry but Dakota Cassidy is on my TBR list. The rest I will have to check out!
[Reply]
Dakota Cassidy- Super Funny, interesting plus nice. Thanks for the add in facebook. Yea, I finally kind of know a famous person……
[Reply]
PS- If it weren’t for her post I would have never known about this wonderful website.
[Reply]
Michelle and Chiquita. There’s no time like the present!
[Reply]
Remember: a vote for me is a vote for short authors everywhere! **steps off of soapbox, slips, twists ankle**
[Reply]
I had to vote for MaryJanice Davidson. The opening pages of Undead and Unwed were just too, too funny.
[Reply]
Molly Harper - Hands down, no question, the funniest writer!!! I can’t wait for her new release at the end of the month! I haven’t laughed so much in a long time, all the way through the book. Charlaine Harris is funny too, early on in the Sookie series. But funniest of them all is MOLLY HARPER!!
[Reply]
Oh, Jackie–that was lowdown, baby!
And thank you, Olga!
DC
[Reply]
With everything going on in the news and world, there’s nothing like a fun book to help me escape it all. Angie Fox and her demon slayer is the get-a-way driver that takes me the furthest! When I want a laugh, she’s my girl.
-g
[Reply]
Kerrelyn Sparks definitely I love all her books and not only are they HOT they are LOL funny too!
[Reply]
Dakota Cassidy is by far the best. Every time I read one of her books, I have to go back a few paragraphs due to laughing and missing something…
[Reply]
Thanks for the great comments! It’s very exciting to be listed with so many of my favorite authors! I have to concur with whoever was sad that Lynsay Sands wasn’t included– I love her books! And I also agree about Ronda Thompson. I was fortunate enough to meet her once. What a lovely woman and a sad, tragic loss for paranormal romance. Thanks again for including me in the list! What’s better than a good laugh? (Well, hot sex, I guess, but then, lots of laughs!)
Hugs!
Kerrelyn
[Reply]
I haven’t read them all …yet. So for me it was a toss up between MaryJanice Davidson & Katie MacAlister. Both make me laugh but in the end I had to go with Katie because for me she knocked Janet Evanovich off the long held position of ‘author that most consistently makes me cry with laughter no matter how bad life is’ number one spot. Both MaryJanice & Janet are right up there though & I suspect Angie Fox shall be joining them as soon as I manage to get my hands on one her books. Annette Blair & Jackie Kessler are on my to find list. As for the rest - I have added your names to my list of authors to investigate. Thank you BBB!
[Reply]
Jackie Kessler I couldn’t vote for you as I haven’t read any of your books YET. I would vote for you if the poll was funniest chat/interview though.
[Reply]
Absolutely LOVE Kerrelyn Sparks’ Series and Phineas aka “Dr. Phang” is hysterical! LOL funny and a pick me up when your having a rotten day at work!
[Reply]
Iffy on the paranormal edge, but Terry Pratchett always wins!
[Reply]
Hey!! Where’s Jennifer Rardin?! She’ll have you laughing out loud, without forgetting adventure and romance. I think she should have been on top of the list!!
[Reply]
THAT IS SO NOT FAIR.
Putting Michele, MaryJanice, Dakota, Mark and Kerrelyn against each other. It makes it difficult for us fans to vote.
Note, that I’m putting my vote in for all 5 of them….(even though I can’t do it electronicly, I’m stating it.)
[Reply]
Ok Jackie Kessler, I just jumped up from my desk and shouted “power to the shorties!!!” I’m moving you from my TBR list to TBR next pile!!! I’ll have to run out and get Hells Belle’s tomorrow!! You are cracking me up!
[Reply]
Dakota cracks me up every time, although I also love MJD, Linda Wisdom, and the beauteous Annette Blair. (And there are lots of folks not on that list who are also funny, including Mindy Klasky and Candace Havens.)Can each of my cats have a vote too?
[Reply]
You guys are so awesome–I love how you give everyone their props–that’s collio!
DC
[Reply]
or coolio–you know, if you’re into spelling. LOL
DC
[Reply]
kerr sparks, dakota cassidy and rebel, dee knight, kari thomas, crissy smith joann rock, lena matthews, and brenda williamson!
[Reply]
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 0_o
[Reply]
I voted for Dakota Cassidy. And she just got bonus points from me for the Cluck-Cluck Palace line.
Now who to vote for for the Funniest Looking? Hmmmm….
[Reply]
And I thought I’ve been reading a lot.
I don’t know any authors. >.<
[Reply]
Angie Fox is funny so id DC but the one person who truelly made menearlyp ee my pants laught at his work is none other then Mark Henry
[Reply]
i would say Kerrelyn Sparks is the best paranormal writer..and funny tooo.
[Reply]
Along with my Jack Russell, Otto, I must vote for Angie Fox. We both really like Pirate. He is a riot.
[Reply]
Michele Bardsley, Dakota Cassidy, Angie Fox, Katie MacAlister, and Annette Blair?! This is the hardest poll yet! Usually I haven’t read as many of the authors
I’d add Shelly Laurenston and Sierra Dafoe’s Shifter Sisters.
The funniest line I can think of off the top of my head is from Lora Leigh’s Megan’s Mark (I know, not exactly who you think of with funny). I can’t quote it verbatim, but the scene goes something like this: the heroine does something dangerous and handled herself just fine since she can kick ass, then the hero, who is a Breed, gets upset because she put herself in danger and as soon as he gets to her he grabs her and bites her on her neck. Then she punches him and says “I said no biting!” I giggle whenever I think of that
[Reply]
I had to go with Angie Fox. How can you not love Pirate, a crazy talking jack russell terrier, and a bunch of granny biker witches!!!
[Reply]
There are some funny paranormal writers, but I must go with Simon Green.
[Reply]
Jackie Kessler, Michelle Rowen and Kerrelyn Sparks are my favorites!
[Reply]
POWER TO THE SHORTIES!!! I love this. It should be on a button.
[Reply]
Had to go for Mark Henry
[Reply]
Went for Kerrelyn Sparks - she writes a great book, I was hooked after reading the line ‘He still had one fang, and he was afraid he’d use it.’ and further captivated by “Can I fetch you anything? A warm cup of Type O?”.
[Reply]
MaryJanice Davidson is consistently snort laugh funny to me. Now there are some authors on the poll that I haven’t got to read yet, so I am going with who I know. Next year it could change. Especially if I win the Powerball and can stop working for ‘the man’ and just sit and read every day after my workout sessions with my personal trainer, Sven.
[Reply]
Michelle Rowan’s got my vote
[Reply]
vote for Michelle Rowan
[Reply]
voted for Mario
[Reply]
Yikes… I have been not getting to this one. I suppose my vote will go to the line I can grab first.
Mark Henry (because I loves me some snark)
Jaye Wells (any scene with Mr. Giggles)
Anton Strout (Because Simon’s comments and thought patterns are strangely similar to my snark)
I will do some flipping tonight. Jaye Wells has an unfair advantage since I am just finishing her book.
[Reply]
Katy M… you forgot about the fact that both Rule and Lawe said to kill them if they even look like mating heat is going to hit…lol
[Reply]
I LOVE Kerrelyn Sparks. Her Love at Stakes books are so funny.
[Reply]
Wow…what a hard choice because you have lots of great authors listed there. I guess I’d pick Jackie Kessler.
[Reply]
Kerrelyn Sparks is absoulutely the best and funny also. I have read everything she has written and have never once been disapointed.
[Reply]
I couldn’t vote…I’ve got too many friends on that list….it would be like choosing my favorite child and we all know how that ends up…with a LOT of w-h-i-n-i-n-g. I abstain…unless one of them comes up with a great bribe…like making me a character in their next book.
[Reply]
But Debi, what if we gave you **cookies**?
[Reply]
Everyone who votes for me receives one millions dollars (in good karma bucks!)
Yes??? No??
Kerrilyn is sooo kicking our asses.
[Reply]
That was one MILLION dollars, of course. Still fake money.
[Reply]
KERRELYN. Not Kerrilyn.
Sigh. I should just go offline. I can’t spell worth crap.
[Reply]
Debi, Debi, Debi–exactly what character would you like to be? Heroine–secondary?
Talk dirty to me. LOL
DC
[Reply]
Kerrelyn, nothing. That Michelle Rowen is kicking **my** ass. And after we were **roommates** at RWA. I am foresook.
[Reply]
Jackie, I totally voted for you, too!
I am lying. But I still love ya!
[Reply]
I love ya too, even though you didn’t vote for me.
[Reply]
Kerrelyn Sparks is certainly winner hands down. Her “How to Marry A Vampire Millionaire” series is a prime example of black humor. Who else would have thought of a McVampire Drive through for vamps!
[Reply]
Okay this is what I get for turning in a book yesterday - I missed half the party. But hey, let’s make up for that. I’m inn the house with a half dozen biker witches and a case of Jack Daniels. Vote for me and Ant Eater will massage your feet while Sidecar Bob pours you a shot.
[Reply]
And I can’t type this morning. Actually, it’s a spot-the-typo puzzle, an added bonus.
[Reply]
Michelle, I love your books!! They’re so funny and adorable. It was great to see you at the literacy signing at RWA. And I must say, I have always been impressed by your spelling skills…
Hugs!
Karrilyn, no Kerrilyn, no, make that Kerrelyn, damn, this is a confusing name…
[Reply]
Oh this one is tough! I gave Jackie Kessler my vote, but Christopher Moore is extremely funny too!
Jeri Smith-Ready is fun too but I didn’t see her on the list…
Tough category!
Lisa
[Reply]
Thanks, Lisa! Let’s hear it for family!
Hey — tell Ken to vote for me too, so I can squeak past Chris Moore! (Gawd. Me and Christopher Moore ON THE SAME LIST. How freaking cool is that???)
[Reply]
Kerrelyn Sparks..Love her books…can’t put them down once I start reading..I’m turning into a vampire…staying up late all night to read!
[Reply]
I came to check out the contest on the request of Richelle Mead & her blog. I haven’t read all these authors on the list but i had to vote for Dakota because reading these comments, she has made me LOL over and over again that my co-worker wants to know who is tickling me… Now to pick up her books…
Good Luck to all.
Julie
[Reply]
I’ve either tried to read these authors and didn’t find their books amusing, or I haven’t read any of their work.
In all honestly, Ilona Andrew’s Kate Daniels series makes me roar with laughter. Same with the early LKH Anita Blake books. Unfortunately neither are on the list.
[Reply]
@Uzu
I hadn’t read your comments before I posted about LKH and Ilona Andrews. Great minds think alike.
[b]i personally think maya banks and laurell k hamilton are absolutely amazing when it comes to humor in her books.. illona andrews is good too.. i guess i like subtle humor mixed with all the other aspects of their writing. ive never read any of maya banks books until i read into the lair… it was amazing… made me laugh, made me cry all that jazz.. just an all around good book.[/b]
I’ve never heard of Maya Banks, I’ll have to pick her books up.
[Reply]
See? Kerrelyn and I are BFF. She just publicly admitted it to everyone. She’s going to win this thing and I’m cool with that because friends support each other.
I love your books, too! Freaking hilarious and super sexy stuff! Group hug!!
(now I just want to come in the top three. Is that possible? The karma bucks are still up for grabs!)
[Reply]
Dakota Cassidy all the way!!!:D
[Reply]
Wow it looks like Mark Henry vs. allot of ladies. I say vote for Mark, seems like us guys need to stick together LOL.
[Reply]
I totally voted for Michelle Rowen. I love her books.
[Reply]
Hey, Dakota: can I borrow your eyelashes so I can bat my virtual eyes alluringly?
[Reply]
Dude-You want long and spiky–or full and flirty?
DC
[Reply]
Full and flirty, of course. I have an election to win. Don’t want to accidentally impale voters.
[Reply]
Dakota out of the current choices.
but for me is a tie between her and Toni Mcgee Causey.
[Reply]
course toni does not do paranormal - I just meant for humor.
[Reply]
Gosh, I think I scared Dakota away. I don’t know if I feel guilty or bemused.
[Reply]
Sheesh…love Dakota Cassidy’s books, probably because when I read them I hear them in her voice. I write such dark and angsty stuff that I love to read humor–Dakota’s definitely my favorite.
[Reply]
Pulease, Jackie–like YOU could scare ME? Don’t be silly. I was doing my nails.
Okay–but full and flirty comes with responsibilities–you up to it?
And thank you, Kate and Barb!
[Reply]
Mark Henry got my vote because Richelle asked us to help her friends win this poll.
I haven’t read anything from him yet, but I am sure that he is good, and man, if a girl (Richelle)says that he can read a sex scene better than anyone, what is there to wait!!!
Beijos
[Reply]
LOL Michelle, I just read her LJ post, too.
If anyone’s intrested it’s here: http://blue-succubus.livejournal.com/206685.html
[Reply]
Showing some luv here for Dakota Cassidy!
[Reply]
Jackie Kessler.

[Reply]
Wow. This is hard! My vote is stuck between Mark Henry and Mario Acevado.
Voting for both but my mind is consciously battling and it seems like Mark Henry is winning.
MARK HENRY!!!!!
[Reply]
ohh tough one
but gotta say dakota cassidy got my vote, total snorts vill!!that chick know has the ability to make me really laugh hard and it gets strange looks from the hubby.
2nd place maryjanice davidson
3rd place kerryln sparks
[Reply]
Pfft. Doing your nails, Shuuuuuuuuure, Dakota.
I just want to say that if anyone’s having trouble deciding who to vote for, I’m happy to be the tie-breaker vote. I am just that selfless.
[Reply]
Has anybody mentioned Gerry Bartlett and her Real Vampires Have Curves series. A giggle on every page.
[Reply]
Another hilarious author missing from this list: Kimberly Frost (Would-Be Witch)
[Reply]
Too many funny authors to choose from…!!
I just finished reading Jennifer Rardin’s Another One Bites the Dust, and burst out laughing at Jaz when she thinks she’s getting a third eye sprouting on her forehead, and then remembers it’s just a lump from a head butt. ROTFL. I love Jaz. And wish I could vote for Jennifer on this poll.
I also love Katie Mcalister’s Aisling Grey books, and have truly had to wipe the laughter tears away, usually because of something Jim the Newfoundland demon has said.
Too many hilarious moments in the Dakota Cassidy books to even mention. She is soooo funny.
So. Now I vote. But for which author…??? Aarrgghhh
[Reply]
I really like Kerrelyn Sparks’s books. They have you laughing the whole way through.
BTW, what does it mean ‘You had already voted in this poll’? I certianly had not prior to casting my one vote.
[Reply]
Yep, I highly recommend the southern witch series by Kimberly Frost and the Real Vampire series by Gerry Bartlett. Thanks for the votes and all the cool comments!
Hugs!

What’s happening here? Am I dreaming? Y’all are being too nice to me…or are you buttering me up for something? Spanking? I’ve been down that road before and I can tell from the look in your eyes you don’t respect my safe words.

Good luck to everyone. I tried to vote for Dakota, but it said I had
already voted. Don’t see how that’s possible since this is the first
time I’ve been here this week, but I guess it’s just one more trial
Murphy has flung in my path. LOL
Have a great weekend everyone. Everyone on the list deserves to win.
It was hard to choose just one.

Mark Henry all the way.
But a close 2nd is Michelle Rowen.
[Reply]
Tough one! Went with Dakota, tres funny…although must say I haven’t actually read most of these authors. Now busily adding names to my TBR list…

Michelle Rowen is my fave..

I voted for Sparks, but I protest the fact that Lynsay Sands isn’t in this poll

So many funny authors! But alas I could only pick one. Had to go with Katie Mac for the line “Well, if it isn’t Puff the Magic Dragon” line from her first Ailing Grey book. Kills me every time.

OK since I had a hand in starting all this… LOL I have finally decided to comment here… When you go pure spew cookies or in my case usually Dr Pepper many take the cake but I had to break it down. I even tried to get bribes…. LOL OK that is just a rumor…. NOT When it came down to it I did an eenie meenie minie moe…. How could I decide between Michelle, Michele, Mark, Mario, Jackie, Angie, Katie,Kerrilyn and Dakota (who I lurve). So I eenied and minied and ended up with Katie…. her heroines are all funny and they are REAL women with real issues like hiding the plus sized pudge on her tummy from her vampire lover in the dark…. LOL ANyway I do hope that you all know I lurve you and whomever wins the contest I want pics in the Tiara…. Including Mark if that is the case… OK especially Mark if that is the case…..

I’m sorry folks, it’s no contest. Christopher Moore is the funniest person on the planet. Even his Tweets are funny.

Let’s see..Mark Henry, Richard Kadrey (I just read Sandman Slim I was laughing out loud at the one liners). On a different vein of funny I think I need to include Mary Janice Davisdon, I hate to choose there are so many great funny authors listed. I guess I’ll give this one to Mark:-)

Congratulations, Mark!
And thanks, guys, for voting. Some of my favorite authors were on the list, and sadly, a few that I haven’t had the pleasure of reading yet (I’m about two years behind on my to-be-read pile), but I am really excited about getting to experience some new authors!
Thank you, Rachel!
