****

Amber was brought into the world of vampires through a twist of fate. She had never been proud of her past, but who would ever believe that a mugger who left her for dead could make her new life possible? But is she ready to give up control of her new life to a man who is bossy and demanding, even if he is hot enough to make her fantasies seem tame?

Marcus has been planning on turning to the council. His job as a trainer for the new turns just isn’t enough anymore. His feelings are gone, and that can be dangerous. But when he meets Amber, he realizes he may have a new lease on life. But can he convince her?

What do you do when your lack of feelings becomes dangerous? What do you do when your new lease on life makes everything more intense? What happens when the two collide? Come on a journey with Marcus and Amber and find out!

L. A. Day’s “Prey” simply whet my appetite for more. Although it is a short story, it is filled with hot sensual scenes and enough action to satisfy! Her take on vampires combines some old and new thoughts and was an absolute delight! I enjoyed the fact that her “alpha” males enjoyed strong females. If you are looking for the “poor save me” damsels then don’t read this. These females can hold their own, and I fully enjoyed that. Looking for a short hot erotic tale? Then look no further! I am definitely going to keep looking for more of her work. I simply hope she has some full length tales, too.
