Witch Fury by Anya Bast
So her mother wasn’t as crazy as everyone originally thought when she said she had fire inside of her and was a witch. Maybe she knew exactly what she was talking about because Sarafina Connell is a fire witch and a rather powerful one, too. She just didn’t know about it until she was kidnapped by Stefan Faucheux, head of the Duskoff, the cabal of warlocks who want nothing more than world domination. What do they want with her? Just a little bit of blood, her utter devotion and the use of her untapped abilities. Worse, he seems to have some control over demons known as the Atrika, and one of those demons seems to have his eye on her. For what? She doesn’t know and for once thinks ignorance might really be bliss.
Theodosius (Theo) Winters has a personal vendetta against the Duskoff who recently have been kidnapping young witches with the intent to seduce them to the darker side of their powers…or break their spirits to the point where they have no choice but to succumb. So of course, when the Coven decides to do a rescue mission, Theo is anticipating the action. Much to his surprise, Stefan Faucheux is there having a conversation with a young woman claiming to be a kidnapped, too. Theo of course, doesn’t trust her enough to believe her, so he simply decides to personally keep an eye on her, until 1.) she tells him what she knows of Stefan’s plans, or 2.) he finds out for sure that she really is a victim in all this. If that were the case, he and the Coven will still need to find out the reason why 1.) she was special enough for the head of the Duskoff to show personal interest in her enough to get his hands dirty and 2.) for what reason a specific daaeman is after her.
Sarafina is innocent but the Duskoff and the Atrika are still after her. And for some odd reason, she only wants to stay with Theo. Now, while Theo also wants her to stay with him, he now feels the responsibility of making sure he doesn’t lose anyone else at the hands of the Duskoff.
With the new installment of the Elemental Witches, Anya Bast did not disappoint. It is just as full of action, excitement, and sexy fun. This is another delectable tale that will keep your eyes glued to every word.
