Lilith is an Elite Hunter for the Seventh Circle. Her job as a vampire hunter is to track down vampires and eliminate them. Lilith has been taught to hate vampires but after her sister is murdered by one, her feelings go beyond hatred.

Lincoln Vehemens, the Chosen Son has been told to look for Lilith to help him. He is involved with a prophecy that included the devil himself. His sire, Mikael is after him for conspiracy against his bloodline. Lincoln chooses the less of two evils and asks Lilith for her help.

Lilith just watched her friend die in her arms because of an attack from a pure blood vampire. After killing the vampire she heads back to the compound to lick her wounds. What she finds instead is a vampire that needs babysitting. Lilith isn’t sure if she can do it without staking him but is ordered to by Daniel, her superior. Lincoln can feel the hatred that Lilith is feeling. He understands but needs her anyway. His attraction is instant to the hunter. He knows that it is forbidden unless he turns her. Lilith hates vampires so that isn’t an option but he could play with her and then kill her afterwards. The longer he is with her, the harder it is to keep his hands off of her.

Seventh Circle was the first book of Heaton’s that I have read, I went in not knowing what to expect and came out finding a great new author. This story moved quickly and never had a slow moment to place the bookmark. Lilith had a hard time separating the man from the vampire when it came to Lincoln. Lincoln sees being attracted to Lilith as just one more sin to add to his ever growing list. You have so many elements in one book. Looking past appearances and seeing the real person inside. Finding out that you are stronger than you think you are and that love is worth sacrificing for. It is a Romeo and Juliet story with fangs and stakes.
