Jodi works at a tollbooth as a toll operator. Jodi has been on her own since she was 16 and has done well for herself considering. She loves to read while she is at work since she works the late shift.

Mike works at a children’s hospice and also works the late shift. He has also been on his own most of life because he was an orphan growing up.

That night Jodi is working the late shift when a man stops at her booth without change. He asks if he can get by just this once. Since it is Christmas time and the fact that he s really cute, she lets him through. The next few nights he comes through her lane and they get to know each other. When Mike asks Jodi to go out and eat, she readily agrees. They find out that they have a lot in common. On Christmas Eve Mike comes through her line and she asks him to her house for Christmas dinner. They both get in his car to leave but it won’t start. Santa Clause shows up and offers them a ride. Who needs AAA when you have sleigh service?

Christmas Spirit Warms the Heart by Victoria Blisse was a cute story. You have two shy people thinking that the other won’t be interested or impressed with the other. I did have a problem with Jodi jumping in the car with Mike after only talking to him in the booth a few times. This is fiction so I guess you don’t have to worry about Mike being a murderer. I thought that Jodi and Mike were cute together and their innocence showed in their personalities. It was a bit refreshing to read about two people who really didn’t know how to do very much sexually. They learned together and it made it that more precious.
