I LOVE this series and am eagerly awaiting Chaos Bites!! I love the love triangle with the heroine and the two main men and have been going crazy wondering what was going on with a certain main man after what the heroine had to do at the end of Apocalypse Happens! If you haven’t read these I STRONGLY suggest you go get them ASAP they are awesome but then again I love all of Lori’s books!

2.) How do you like Liz as a main character? Liz is AWESOME attiutde spunk funny she just rawks!
3.) Who are your favorite secondary characters in the series? I love Sawyer! I so wish I had his powers! BUT I adore Jimmy too but that lil fairy twit in love with him gets on my nerves! LOL

I so love the premise of this series. I haven’t read any of the books yet but it is on my list to get and read.

Haven’t read her series books, but I’m fairly sure I read an anthology short story and liked it. And like NRSVampChick, what is most similar to this series? Anything like Kim Harrison, LKH, Kelley Armstrong or Lynsay Sands? Almost sounds like a cross between LKH and Kim.

I think of this series as similar to early Laurel K Hamilton. That’s what i was going for anyway.
I don’t have any anthology stories out yet with these characters although I may have one in the future. Talking about it now.
But I do have several that take place in my Nightcreature world.
“Red Moon Rising” in Stroke of Midnight
“Cobwebs over the Moon” in My Big Fat Supernatural Wedding
“Voodoo Moon” in No Rest for the Witches

I was fortunate enough to get the first book, Any Given Doomsday, as an ARC. I loved it and have been completely hooked since.
These books make for a quick and very satisfying read. Liz and her love interests have history that is interesting and believable. We learn about the dark nature of this world as Liz does. Her whole life is turned upside down, and we get to share the ride.
I’m with Cassandra about the end of Apocalypse Happens. I was so shocked by the end. What a revelation!! I’m dying to get my hands on Chaos Bites!!!
LORI: Is there going to be a book #5? If so, how many books do you see for this series?
1.) What is your favorite aspect of this series? Sawyer.
2.) How do you like Liz as a main character? Liz is a good main character. She’s flawed. Her decisions aren’t always stellar, but that’s what makes a good character. She’s someone you root for but also someone you could smack upside the head from time to time.
3.) Who are your favorite secondary characters in the series? SAWYER! Hands down. I love Sawyer.

I have sold a fifth book in this series, which is tentatively titled DEMONS AT THE GATES. However it won’t be out until mid-2011 since my publisher wanted to revive the Nightcreature Series with two books in that world first.
So the Nightcreatures return in November with MARKED BY THE MOON and in March 2011 with MOON CURSED.
I’ll also have SHAKESPEARE UNDEAD available this June, a book I like to call SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE with vampires.

Yay for Book #5! It’s a good new/bad news situation, but I guess I can wait. I started reading The Nightcreature series because I love the Phoenix Chronicles so much. I’m excited about two new books in that series as well as a whole new series.

This series is sounding better and better. And moving higher up the tbr list! I’m been reading the early LKH lately and was hoping to find other things similar to it. What makes Sawyer such a likable secondary character?

Sawyer is a warrior and a great anti-hero. He’s sexy and has a great sense of humor. His actions and motivations can be quite surprising.
He pushes Liz even when we don’t want her pushed, but he’s usually right. There are moments you love him and hate him. He’s quite compelling.
I’d advise you buy all the books and read right through. Chaos Bites, the fourth book, comes out late April.
I’m thinking about re-reading the series so I’m primed and ready!

I had the pleasure of reading this series over Christmas and I am eagerly awaiting “Chaos Bites!”
1. I love the character interplay in the books and how everything moves at a fast pace.
2. I really like Liz, because she does what she has to even if it hurts her, and I like the fact that she is not perfect, she definitely has her flaws.
3.Sawyer and Jimmy are of course my favorite secondary characters but I am really interested in whats going on in Luthers mind.

I’m glad everyone enjoys the secondary characters. I have a lot of fun with the interplay between Liz and Summer. I also love Luther. What a kid. And there’ll be a new character in CHAOS BITES. A shape shifting baby. She’s a hoot.
