Woot! Just watched the first blog and I am soooo glad I was not eating (because I’d be choking on my food) or drinking anything (My screen does NOT need that).
I plan, whenever our tax refund gets here, to go on a massive book shopping spree, and I do plan to buy Happy Hour of the Damned so I can finally read Road Trip and Battle of the Network Zombies.

Hey y’all.
Already at it huh? Well, get out to the store first or at least within 59 days and pick up the book. I see lots of the same people at these blogs and they all SAY they gonna buy and then they’re at the next vlog event SAYING the same thing. This time do it. Because next time, it’s pretty likely that I’ll be here to tell you the series is done. Then, a few months from now, you’ll pick it up, realize that it’s just as sick as my vlogs and you can’t live without it, only this time, you’ll have to live without it. Cuz the series will be donzo!
Buy!!!!
[Reply]
WOO HOO !!! still LOVE your videos crack me up even when I have seen them. Have a great release party my friend
[Reply]
I promise to buy it. Hubby is back to work now so things are better (plus its refund time!)
[Reply]
I’ve got a list of “Books I want to buy”. Since really in 2009 I could not buy most or all of the books I wanted because of the money crunch, hubs already said I could get as many as I want. I stay away from the trade sizes because of how much they cost.. but watch out, now that it’s on regular-size paperback, it is so bought!
You, Angie Fox’s new one, Christine Feehan’s latest Ghostwalker, Sherrilyn Kenyon’s last two League (hubs wants those ones, to name a view.. Poor Borders, I don’t know if they are ready for me, and if they don’t have any of these books.. rue to them

Hi Mark! <>
Happy Day-After MMPB Release Day!
I won a mmpb copy from Rob yesterday, but since I already had earmarked the money to buy a copy, I’ll give it to a sister. (Which is scarily similar to what happened with the first two Trades… I bought ‘em, then won signed copies from you, and passed along the Amanda Fever to two sisters…)
What can I say? Amanda makes me laugh out loud - really! (And sometimes a bit guiltily!)

Love you Mark baby! My secret fantasy- Seeing you in the adult diapers!! Go for it Mark!!!
Okay, you mentioned you were doing a YA book. Can you tell us a lit bit about it and come on now what’s your pen name? I know, I know! Henry Mark!!
Anyway–
1. Got all three of your books from Amazon. If I win, then I won’t have to share my copies. Seriously, though, as a consumer and lover of all books —Don’t you think that the pricing for the MM paperback is going to steer more people to your books than the oversized $15 books. I know, I went ahead and got book 2 & 3 but and I say this with the deepest sincerity- I NEVER BUY THE OVERSIZED BOOKS and I think that authors( especially new ones) are shooting themselves in the foot by not going with the MM paperbacks.

Hi Mark!!! I can’t watch your fabulous videos here because work blocks all my fun. I am currently reading Happy Hour of the Dead, and lovin’ it. I have a friend that, minus the zombie part, is Amanda. Although, she would call Amanda a skinny bitch, but other than that, they’d have fun together.

I have to admit I didn’t see the books when I went to the bookstore, so I’m a bit sad to say that I didn’t even get the chance to contemplate and argue with myself about buying the book.
Best thing about 2009… meeting new friends, lol–finding out that said new friends are crazy freaks (in the good way) and finding amazing new books. Also got the chance to see really interesting new movies too, haha
Mr. Chow… omg, the amazing things you can say about him!

Okay, I have to confess I have not yet read Mark Henry’s books (I know, for shame, for shame) nor have I seen any vlogs before….
I have not laughed so much in a loooong time, thanks Mark! You’re seriously awesomeness personified and I can’t wait to read your work. You’ve got a new fan in me!!

I found Amanda Feral in 2009 through the Campaign to Save Her. I bought two trade sizes earlier this year as donations and purchased Happy of the Damned in trade size yesterday as I want your smutty personaliztion in it.
I just bought the new one on Amazon as a donation and will buy more when I have some extra money to spend.
For 2009 - Vacationed in New Orleans for a week; found tons of new authors and blogs; loved Red Headed Stepchild and have the next one on preorder; also read Chelsea Cain; not a movie person (spend my free time reading and on the computer).
Deepest Fantasy - As I ponder my bank balance, I want my husband to win one of the lotteries that he enters.

Hi Mark, I have not had the pleasure of watching the vlogs yet, I am in the presence of the innocent, so I will wait for later. I am going to go right now and buy at least one copy of your books.
I have never read a zombie book before, so while you always make me laugh, I have been well…scared. Zombies, ugg. But I have been inspired by you and your snarky friends to stretch beyond my comfort zone and read my first zombie book. Shall I refrain from eating before I read? Is it all brain eating and rotting flesh??

Hi Mark!
I loved Happy Hour Of the Damned! It was hilarious, and one of my favorite reads in 2009. I also have Battle of The Network Zombies, but haven’t read it yet because I don’t have Roadtrip Of The Living Dead. I was hoping to win it…. but, I guess I’m going to have to shuck out the duckies for it. I know it will be worth it, so really it’s not going to be a hardship buying it.
One of the best things of 2009 was… All the great books I won and all the fabulous authors I have been introduced to since joining FB and BBB.
I’m wishing you much continued success on your re-release and all of your books.

Natasha - ::snickers:: They should just call them Cooch-size.
Jason - Nice. Bringing the Class.
Jacqueline - Your Mr. Chow quote WINS!!! MothafuckerRrRrRrRrR!!!

Quick note…
Lisa Richards - Authors have no input on any part of the publishing industry except the content they write. All other decisions. Title, Cover, Marketing, Sizing, Distribution, Where the book sits on a shelf and whether it’s face out or not, is ultimately up to the publisher. Sad but true. When the economy started to tank, the first thing I thought was a $15 book is screwed. I was right, but I can do anything about it now. Except get the word out about the reissues. Sad but true.
Thanks for upping the ante in your book buying. Seriously. I know, $45 is a lot.
[Reply]
‘mybad. Publishers should pay attention to ginormous, rabid fan base.
[Reply]
Back to the lighter stuff…
No, Lisa R. I will not put on the diaper. That’s reserved for paying clients in hourly motel rooms. And since the YA short hasn’t been formally accepted for pub and the novel isn’t even on submission, it’s too early to really talk about. I will say it’s a different take on ghosts and purgatory.
Heather C. - Bitches of the World UNITE!!!
Jaye - You ARE a winner. Don’t let them grind you down. ::sigh::
[Reply]
Elie - I won’t pretend there’s not gross stuff in the books. These are zombies, after all. In the horror movie sense of the word. But the gore benefits the humor rather than as a means to scare the reader. It’s more like a brother teasing a sister with a fake spider kind of thing. Only with intestines and Christian Louboutin shoes and supersnark…Not just regular snark…this shit is ADVANCED.
Big Thanks and hugs to… Tasha, Tawania, Andrea, Sandra, Susan, Barbara, Jessica W. and Raelana.
Y’all ask some questions and shit and we’ll fuck this place up!!!

I purchased two copies from BandN, I will forward my receipt once it comes. It was actually only a few dollars extra to buy 2 (2 qualified for free shipping, one would have been $4 shipping). This will be good for my mini league challenge!

I am so glad to see Amanda in mass market finally. *hangs head in shame* I haven’t read Happy Hour of the Damned yet, so is Feral really her family name? Or is it more of a nom de zombie?
And no, I’m not telling you my deepest fantasy ’cause that’s blackmail material & I am not handing that sort of thing to Mark. Pbbbt.
Cute dogs, btw. I am so bad at remembering stuff that I can’t recall what breed they are. *hangs head lower*

Hey Sewicked, I can’t believe you haven’t read it. All this time. ::shakes head:: But no, Feral’s not her last name, she changed it to distance herself from her mother. She’s got TONS of issues (both Amanda and her mother, actually).
Thanks Jeff. I’ll pop over in a bit!
Thanks Leilani - I’m going to put a little bit of me in every diaper I send out. Did that sound gross? Cuz I didn’t mean poop. LOL

In the meantime…..I already have my copies in trade as do most of my family. Before time is up though I will find someone to get a MMPB copy for. It will probably be my homeless, illiterate, junkie uncle and he will probably trade it for…..something. Maybe in this fashion the book will find it’s way to a new reader that will treasure it as I do mine……lol

First off I know you’re a fellow Kathy Griffin fan your 1st blog proves it. for me 2009 was an up & down I lost my job and have to re-evaluate what i want. I met the spam-mobile at the 2008 licensing show (last year at Javits NYC now they’re in Vegas.) I ate spam as a girls Scout so re-discovering it was a revelation. I do macaroni & cheese & spam, and those spam sliders I tried they are good. One of my fav author Katie MacAlister is now doing a Steampunk book. Thanks to this site I now know a bit about Steampunks. I bought your book and look forward to the rest. I am following you you are a hoot! Best wishes to you.

Hey Mark! You’re ahoot! Iloved your vlogs! I’ve not read your books yet, But I can tell from your readings that they are a must read! It will be really neet to see how a male author portrays the female lead!
It was Chirs Marie Green Yesterday with Deep in the Woods from her Vmapire Babylon Series!
My favorite event in 2009 was the cruise my hubby and I took in teh Carribean! It was our 5th anniversary and we had a blast! And of course, ’cause I’m a nerd, I really loved New Moon!

Thanks and have a rockin’ day!

Can someone please post the YouTube links for the vlogs 2,3,4 here? I found the first and can watch YouTube on my cell (but can’t see the Flash they make the links on the BBB site). So, I saw the pre and first vlogs, I’ll do my best now and come back later to check. Thank you!
Hi, Mark! See, I said I’d be over here to try to win a contest (and be highly amused by the vlogging). I first saw you on BBB for Halloween.
“It’s dire straits up in here for some zombie bitches.” For the rest of us, too. But that price is bunches better, so I support that. I will have that book within your timeline, one way or the other, even though zombies are icky. Is it much worse than Anita Blake’s gross-out stuff? I read that, which is just added to the horror of the story. Maybe I could handle yours. I knew you’d have to say bitches at some point.
You have pretty nice handwriting. It’s hard put there for a zombie, which is why we’re helping pimp them. That might have come out wrong.
Don’t you love working at home with a dog barking in the background? It’s always hard to be a business professional at home.
I was at BBB yesterday; it was Chris Marie Green. OOh, “shackles”. It’s always funny to try to read your own erotica out loud. Good job.
Zombie sex is like an inside joke, actually. I assume I can answer the questions from others’ responses.
2. 2009 brought me engagement and then the death of Michael Jackson (devastating, and also, my favorite zombie because of Thriller, you understand). It has been a difficult economy, but I opened an Etsy and Artfire store, still sell on eBay under my business name of WhereThelittlethingsare and continue to put designs in my CafePress stores. Finding BBB and winning 4 contests of course! I haven’t finished the books I started (Kim Harrison and Charlaine Harris). I only saw a few movies. Avatar was really pretty, but I liked Robert/Jude in Holmes. I’ve never had Spam. Deepest Fantasy: Money would be good, then I could spend my time happier, worry less, buy and read more books and give more to charity.
4. (no 3?) Already FB friends with Mark from Halloween. I read his Twitter page, but I only just joined Twitter itself.

Mario - I’ll tell you what kind. One that doesn’t like dust in his ass.
Kate L. - It’s funny because there wasn’t any real conscious decision, it just kinda happened. I’ve been around women my whole life, my father was/is a workaholic and I’m an only child so there’s a level of connection to my mother that is probably unusual. But it also got me comfortable being around women from a very young age and listening to how they talk/gossip/snark. Then as a psychotherapist the predominant clientele are women. That’s not to say they are any “Crazier” just that women are more likely to seek help. Does that answer it?

Okay folks. I’ve got writing group from 6:30 - 8:00 PST. So don’t expect answers until I get back. I’m thinking you’re all eating dinner.
Or buying Happy Hour of the Damned. That’s got to be it, right?
[Reply]
Can I say that you’re a stingy ass bitch for holding back on the scissors?! Because you are. What if we need to cut a bitch too?
And guess what? I bought a copy of Happy Hour of the Damned *this freaking morning* before going in to work (through that nifty BN link at that). Take that! Also, I posted a “save amanda feral” message on my blog. See? Mama loves you.
My favorite things from 2009:
Becoming a book reviewer
Getting a new effing job and making more money
Burn by Linda Howard
Discovering the With or Without series by J.L. Langley
Discovering authors like you, Angie Fox, and Dakota Cassidy
Winning free sh*t in contests - who doesn’t like that?
Having superiors at work who cuss as bad as I do (word!)
Becoming an insane fangirl for my favorite authors… I could go on
Mr. Chow quote: “Not so good now. Quid pro quo, douchebag”
I’m on Team Lindsey (sp?), though Yoda and Smoky are pretty tempting.
And now for the contest:
1. I purchased Happy Hour from BN (ebook, but from BN and used the linkies)
2. I answered the questions above
4. Sent friend request on FB - I don’t myspace
6. Spread the word on my blog (elisajankowski.blogspot.com), which autofeeds into my FB account (facebook.com/elisa.llewellyn.jankowski)
Bonus round: as mentioned above, I pimped the Amanda Feral on my blog yesterday!

1. I haven’t bought the book yet but am about to. I left you a comment on Emma’s website. Just waiting for the reply. I need to web address to the University bookstore. I want mine personalized.
2. Vlog#1 comments: “It’ll cut a bitch!, I will” -Ha! Loved it. BTW, Amanda’s first f*ck SUCKED!
Vlog#2 comments: 2009-I loved mine and my husbands second ever vacation together. We have been together for over 11 years (Im only 27) and have had 2 vacations. So 2009 was awesome because we spend a magical week on the beach. Also, we don’t have kids yet but adopted a dog, Ruby, in Dec of 2009. I couldn’t love her more. She’s my little girl.
Adult diaper-OMG!!! And your playing with it. lmao
Honest to God, I asked my husband to cook me supper tonight and when I went in the kitchen after watching your first vlog he had cooked Spam. He LOVES Spam. Two peas in a pod Im telling ya!
The Hangover-I have that movie and it’s funny as sh*t but I can’t think of any lines right off the top of my head. Hey, at least Im not cheating!
Vlog#3 Comments: You forgot to post your live webcam show link. (lol, Don’t cut me)
Call me a nasty perv because I like porny sex scenes!
The 70’s bush is a NO - NO! Thats just nasty!
Vlog#4 Comments: My deepest fantasy… This may sound corny to some, even to some of the people in my life, but my fantasy is to become a writer. I have SO MANY stories and ideas just floating around in my head and I long to get them on paper. It’s so bad that it takes forever for me to fall asleep at night because Im playing out scenes in my head. I just don’t know where to begin. I think I just don’t have the confidence in myself. Anyhow, thats my deepest fantasy.
3. Ummm… There’s not a #3 above. Has anyone else noticed this?

ILOVED the Hangover. I didnt see it in the theater, but preordered the dvd on the basis of the trailer alone and I cant stop laughing..still.One of my favorite parts was seeing the Dan Band at the wedding THey just crack me up! Also the quote that comes to mind id “he’s a re-tard” (deos that make me a bad person? and of course “they should call them “floories because that’s where you end up” my deepest fantasy? besides a threesome with the Winchester brothers of Supernatural? (did I just realy say that?) I really wish to have all my bills paid up and be debt-free (sad, I know)2009 brought me some good things: I started reviewig books for KAren Mason’s I Heard It on The Grapevine website and It’s lots of fun, I discovered authors Molly Harper and Julie Kenner (I devoured all the Kate Conner books and bought the 3 Blod Lily books, too. I also bought Jaye Wells’ Red Headed Stepchild and it’s on the shelf to be read real soon ( I am a red-headed stepchild myself) I am anxiously awaiting releases from Kim Hsrrison and The New releases from Charlaine Harris and Richelle Mead. oh and I just bought Dakota Cassidy’s recent release (I just love Dakota! and I have Michele Bardsley to thank for turning me on to her books) and now I am a Mark Henry fan as well. can’t wait to get my copy of HHOTD. bought it from University books and Mark you can be as raunchy as you like when you personalize it- I am no prufe,in fact I revel in the filth-that’s just the kind of bitch I am. 3) Another local travel in my country. Guess where.
4) Reviewing more books and rediscovering my love of reading.

Thank you for the links, Mark.
I have now watched them all.
Heeheeheehee ElizabethB “what if we need to cut a bitch, too?” that salty dark chocolate concoction sounds wonderful. Probably YouTube’s site maintenance messed up people today. Mr. Chow “Toodaloo motherfuckers”. Yeah, my fiance took me to see that. Cute Yoda. If I win, I’d go more for the books and not the diaper. My fiance just watched Zombieland with friends; I haven’t seen it yet. I live in the boonies, too. Haha, she’s playing Rock Band. I know a lot of those books from the author chats at BBB. Ooh 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton. Poor Scott, he could use your scissors, huh? A strip club? Is it like Guilty Pleasures? Sexy geeks, yay! Scott sounds fun like werewolf Jason. Some authors are not above were animal sex, but I like human better. Nice and warm like Jacob. Smokey’s cute, too. I like the hot and cold mix like Buffy and Spike. Hey, busted boy lips. Or A firstborn child. Heehee.
Now I’ve finally answered all the questions. Yay.

Hey Mark, a bit late finally watching the vlogs, but I’m here. Pups are just adorable.
Please pass along to Amanda & Wendy that they need to have a dinner date with whoever is in charge of ordering stock at Borders. I sent my honey to pick up a copy of Happy Hour, and I do have another copy that I am reading now…go Amanda…and they did not have your book. So, as Hannibal Lector so nicely said…’i'm having an old friend for dinner.’
Anyway, after I finish typing this, I’m hitting Amazon to grab my copy. Its important to go forth and warp other minds.

I just wanted to share my favorite footnote so far (I’m on chapter one, so I’m sure it’s going to be come a list): “that’s what mommy calls bad touch”. Ha!
Oh and I forgot to mention the “whack a zombie” item is inspired. And how did you know it’s a weave?! The idiots assured me even the sharpest eyes would be fooled. I loathe incompetence. Can I have Amanda eat them (the stylists, not the weave)?

Whew, made it before the cut off!
Love in 2009? My business actually had a pretty darn good year! I contributed to Serenity Adventures, which won an Origins Award last summer, which was amazing — definitely a career highlight.
On the book level, I got active in the Glamazombies, which was totally awesome, and participated in the 50 book challenge and made it to 100 titles over the year. Some favorites are similar to the ones you mentioned, Mark: Devon Monk’s Allie Beckstrom series (which I caught up on), Nicole Peeler’s Tempest Rising, Road Trip of the Living Dead (which I got to review, which was awesome), and Street Magic by Caitlin Kittredge (which I also got to review) were some of my highlights.
I’m honestly not sure what my deepest fantasy is right now — I’m sort of focused on the whole “going to be a mom” soon thing, and waiting to see how my priorities change when the little one shows up!
And please, please reveal your pseudonym when your YA books come out?
Also, just commentary, I always love how much *awkward* happens in your sex scenes. They’re not quite the anti-romance scene, but I figure there’s not enough awkward sex in literature out there, and I love how much you make it work.
4. I’m friends with Mark on Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter, and I’m at least a year member of the Glamazombies mailing list.
(Sending proof for all but the last via screen shot, Prize Goddess. *G*)
