This series sounds like something I’d be interested in reading. Sounds like it has a little of everything. Romance, suspense, action and maybe a little of mystery. And since there are seven books in the series I’m guessing each one will have do deal with one of the deadly sins and the demon associated with that. All in all, sounds like it’s gonna be a great series. I’ll look forward to reading them.

  2. Comment by Amanda Leigh — January 26, 2010 @ 12:53 pm

I think that it’s a great concept. I’ve read some other series that have been based somewhat around the same thing and I’ve really enjoyed them!

  3. Comment by Carol M. — January 26, 2010 @ 12:54 pm

Wow — I love this concept! A very cool, original idea.

I am wondering what the book about gluttony will be like, though… :)

  4. Comment by Beet Troels — January 26, 2010 @ 1:09 pm

Okay I have been waiting for Allison’s to go supernatural. So hell yeah it is a great concept!

  5. Comment by Raonaid Luckwell — January 26, 2010 @ 1:19 pm

I’ve read one of Brennan’s books before and her words are powerful enough to rivet one in place to finish the book! Now to see this series, reading the concept about it, and I profess that it’s intriguing. The fun to be had with using demons! Those who loves books with demons would be chomping to get their hands on this.

  6. Comment by Heather C — January 26, 2010 @ 1:25 pm

I completely love this ideal, and already threw this book in my ‘to read’ pile. What a great concept, the 7 deadly sins. I was a huge fan of the movie 7, and there is just so many choices and interpretations for each sin. I can’t wait to see what Allison does with each. I’d LOVE a copy of this book.

  7. Comment by Larena Wirum — January 26, 2010 @ 1:29 pm

wow sounds like a great take on the seven deadly sins. Sounds like one to read and devour. :-)

  8. Comment by Jo K — January 26, 2010 @ 1:35 pm

Dark, suspesful paranormal plots? I’m loving it. Kinda has a ‘Supernatural’ vibe to it, what with demon possessions, murder and sins :) I haven’t read any of Allison’s work before…this blurb is making me think I should.

  9. Comment by Donna S — January 26, 2010 @ 1:43 pm

I really like it and think its going to make a great and thrilling series. The seven deadly sins have been briefly addressed in movies such as 7. But never really in book form with each affecting the story. Looking forward to reading it.

  10. Comment by Lisa B. — January 26, 2010 @ 1:43 pm

This sounds so great. I can’t wait to read it. Count me in for the giveaway. And hopefully I can keep my own sins in check ;-)

This is going to be an awesome series! I have read the other works she has done, and this will surely not dissapoint. I feel we each have our mortal sins, and when exploring them we all have demons to face. Its definatley a concept to follow up on

  19. Comment by Virginia C — January 26, 2010 @ 2:35 pm

As the cover indicates, ever since Eve bit that juicy apple, the world has been a sinful place. In fact, there’s more than enough wicked writing material to cover The Seven Deadly Sins…and beyond!

  20. Comment by cheryl m — January 26, 2010 @ 2:35 pm

This concept sounds great! Can’t wait to read them!

    Dottie :)

  23. Comment by Sue A. — January 26, 2010 @ 2:39 pm

The story has great promise. The ultimate tale of good verses evil - saving humanity from damnation. And a story with a battle between daughter and mother. I haven’t read that story line before.

  24. Comment by Linda Poitevin — January 26, 2010 @ 2:42 pm

Awesome premise! One of those “why didn’t I think of that?” ideas… :) Definitely on my TBR list!

    Linda

  31. Comment by Chrissey — January 26, 2010 @ 2:57 pm

    Can’t wait to read it!

  32. Comment by Bethany C. — January 26, 2010 @ 3:00 pm

The concept sounds right up my alley in terms of what I enjoy reading. And I really like knowing right up front how many books are going to be in a series. A couple of times I’ve been surprised to find out I’m about to read the last one, but more often I read a series that has a lot of books, which I enjoy, but feel like some questions I have will NEVER get answered.

  33. Comment by MarnieColette — January 26, 2010 @ 3:03 pm

Wow - this series sounds rather good. I am interested to see how the author conceptualizes some of those sins especial in demon form.

  34. Comment by Danielle — January 26, 2010 @ 3:05 pm

  35. Comment by Jessica W — January 26, 2010 @ 3:07 pm

  54. Comment by Cate Masters — January 26, 2010 @ 4:50 pm

Oo, the Seven Sins would make a great series. Did working in the Calif. Legislature provide much inspiration? :)

  55. Comment by R.E.B. — January 26, 2010 @ 4:55 pm

Mixing paranormal fiction AND one of my favorite topics to devour, the Seven Deadly Sins? Awesome. The guy who came up with them (I watch specials on TV, too) pretty much committed all of them before he decided to make the list once he became more pious, so that people wouldn’t do what he did. Like, go have fun, THEN make the rules. The list isn’t from the bible, but they are usually connected for obvious reasons. I’m very interested in anything that deals with this concept (like the movie 7 and an art series being done by Kevin Clark, I believe). It’s one of those things like Alice in Wonderland. I want to see/read lots about it. So, I would love to win it. I’ve written school papers on the subject, too. :) And as for Eve, I think she got a bad rap. :)

  56. Comment by Denise Elrod — January 26, 2010 @ 4:58 pm

  97. Comment by Jackie Burris — January 26, 2010 @ 10:58 pm

There are many ways we can all identify with the concept of the 7 Deadly SIns being something not taken lightly. This new series hopefully will open up people’s eyes to what is wrong with indulging in 1 or all of the sins, or maybe it will just entertain us like the movie Seven with Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kevin Spacey. Will have to wait and see, in the meantime having read many of Allison Brennan’s books and enjoyed them am fairly sure this one will be just as spine tingling and mind boggling as the previous novels.

  110. Comment by Raquel Vega-Grieder — January 27, 2010 @ 10:51 am

This Concept Sounds Awesome. It Reminds Me Of The Movie Seven With Brad Pitt And Morgan Freeman Only They Were Dealing With Having To Catch A Killer Who Was Using The Seven Deadly Sins As A Statement. I Think It Is Kool To Have Every Book Deal With One Of These Sins. This Book SOunds Like A Book I Would Enjoy Reading.

  111. Comment by Denise Vega — January 27, 2010 @ 10:58 am

It Is About Time That Somebody Came Out With A Book Dealing WIth The Seven Deadly Sins. And I Can’t Wait To Read Them.

I love the idea and hope she can pull it off, but I’ve been disappointed in other books based on the seven deadly sins. Would love to give it a chance, so please count me in!

I really like the concept of a horror book series revolving around the concept of the 7 deadly sins, but not as thrilled that it’s a supernatural series. Don’t get me wrong, I like the supernatural in books, but I think I’m getting paranormal’d out, recently. However, if the book is well written supernatural deadly sin goodness, then I will enjoy it.

Sounds good to me, although i’ll have to read the book before making a final judgement but i’m sure i’ll love it! Who doesn’t love this type of story? Looking forward to reading it!

I’d like to read Original Sin - a paranormal suspense series about the seven deadly sins sounds interesting.

This sound most definitely like a series I’d follow “religiously!” The paring of black magic, the 7ds, and young romance is def new (to this reader)and quite interesting! It sounds like quite a reading adventure!

I think this is AWESOME!!!! Can’t wait to get my hot little hands on a copy of this book, and if it happens to be a free copy all the better, right? Right!

This concept has been used many times now, has it? Although not sure if there are many books based on said concept. I know for sure there were multitides of movies or tv shows that were based on the series [including the history channel's 7 deadly sins, if i'm not mistaken]

Would be nice to read it on print though.
