The planet of Alvaron had been ravaged by war and poisonous weapons. By the end of the war, the inhabitants have segregated themselves into separate enclaves and societal cultures. The Maida peoples chose to live through science, reason and logic with women as the superior and ruling group. Others chose to live in harmony with the planet, using earth magic to live and to restore the growing, living things of the planet. Two opposite philosophies, two opposite cultures, and when the opposing sides meet and sparks fly, often those are sparks of erotic imaginings and possibly even deeply held love.

Tyrana is a member of the Maida ruling class but she will never serve in the highest circles as she is infertile. One of the cruelest consequences of the war is the infertility of the majority of Maida peoples. Tyrana carries a deep-seated desire to bear a child - not for the prestige it will bring, but for the child itself. But she is to be denied the miracle of creation and so turns her life into one of seeking sexual pleasure and excitement and defying the conventional norm. After all, she is the “bad” daughter, or so she believes. Her younger sister is the “good’ daughter and now has further proven her worth by becoming pregnant. There is a mystery involved, though, because the sister has disappeared into the mysterious Dark Forest where no Maida willingly goes. Tyrana only knows her sister’s circumstance because of letters carried by a mysterious messenger.

Walking in disquiet and disgust, Tyrana is almost run down by Rusty, the letter-carrying messenger who is running from her mother’s guards. On a whim (and because he has such an amazingly fine ass), Tyrana follows him into the Dark Forest, determined to capture him. Instead, Rusty rescues her from her own folly, and both must escape the guardians of the Dark Forest. When they arrive at Rusty’s village, Tyrana is over-whelmed by surprises, not the least of which is that Rusty is a Mage Pegcentaur, part centaur and horse (with or without wings at his choosing). But the greatest surprise is that she loves him, although she is not willing to believe she can be loved in return.

Love Me Tender is a lusty celebration of sensuality and love between the least likely of couples. The intriguing characters boldly and joyously engage in uninhibited, free-wheeling sexual encounters and maneuver through the insecurities and uncertainties of deep affection. The societies and cultures of the Alvaron world are both thought-provoking and engaging. Love Me Tender is a book of discovery and acceptance and a sizzling HOT read.
