More Than Blood by Amanda Vyne
Kel, an investigator working for a private agency, crosses paths with Gabrial, a House Marshal, while they are both investigating what turns out to be the same case. This first meeting is explosive and results in a spontaneous blood bond occurring. As they investigate the deaths of teenage girls, Kel and Gabrial must come to terms with the changes to their lives that the blood bond has caused.
Kel is a sassy, go-get-them heroine with the typical traumatic past that she has fought to overcome. I loved her Through the rapidly turning pages, Kel had to relive her past and grow past the tragic events. Her strong will and desire for Gabrial help her through this.
Gabrial’s life has been turned on its ear and all he can think about is Kel, sigh. He is the perfect hero and understands when he’s committed an act of stupidity. All I can really do is dribble and fantasize about Gabrial - the rest of you can find out for yourselves.
More! I want more! Loved this book. A very promising start to what will surely be a great series. The world building was very well done without distracting from the story. Not only that but it is all very believable (If you already are inclined towards vampires lol). We get a teaser as to what must surely be the next book in the series. So I checked, and yes, it is.
