Detective Julian Anders fears that a serial killer has moved into his city and leads are slim. Richie England has seen visions of the killings and feels compelled to report them to the police, even knowing that he’ll be treated as a flake and his warnings disregarded. Julian and Richie work together to find the killer and end up finding so much more.

This is a well-rounded story set in the year 2050, and I particularly enjoyed the futuristic reality that although things progress, the basics remain the same. Progress has been made on the front for an enlightened society, but evil still lurks in the heart of men. Technology is a stronger tool, but it still takes human determination and vision to crack the case. And the road to love still remains rocky.

I quickly grew attached to the main characters and it was fascinating watching them grow - individually, as lovers and then mates. There were enough twists, hidden turns and interesting participants to make this an engaging suspense novel. The erotic scenes were erotic and loving – all at the same time. It was particularly interesting how the authors set the stage for the next book at the end of this one. There will be more of Julian and Richie and the world of 2050 to come.
