Cuinn Locklin is going to grad school in Boston. He has dark hair and blue eyes. Did I mention he is an elf and normally lives in the North Pole with Santa and his family? No? Well, now I did.

Lacey Sinclair has honey blond hair and brown eyes. She is nursing student who wants to specialize in pediatrics. She is best friends with Cuinn’s cousin, Giselle.

Cuinn is home for his sister wedding and wondering why he is. He can’t dance and drinking isn’t an option in front of his parents either. He wants to call the party quits until a beautiful woman asks him to dance. He knows she is a friend of his cousin but she isn’t supposed to be there because they must keep themselves a secret from the human world. Knowing what he must do but hating it all the same, he does a spell on her to make her forget. What he doesn’t realize is that he has mistakenly caused a blank spot on her memory of him and the time that they have spent together. From that moment on, Lacey thinks that she is missing something in her life and has no idea what it is. Her life changes for the worst since meeting him. She has graduated and is working but she just isn’t the same person anymore. Her best friend Giselle knows why bit is unable to tell her even when it is obvious that Cuinn and Lacey are meant to be together or are soul mates.

I have to say that the very first chapter of An Elf’s Magic by Lynn Crain grabbed me. I would tell you why but I don’t want to give away the story. It was a beautiful moment between Cuinn and Lacey and made me do that “Aww” thing. Embarrassing! Cuinn is such a great guy in this book and you can’t help but fall in love with him yourself while you follow his story. The way he takes care of his family and of Lacey. Makes you wish that Elves were real. There not, right? Lacey took a bit to make me like her. I thought she was a bit whiny in the beginning but after they met the second time and she changed. She carries a lot of baggage but with Cuinn and his family to help her along, she will be just fine.
