Ravenous by Aubrey Ross

****½

Teladorian was born of a human mother and an incubus father. He was cursed with his father’s need to feed off the sexual energy of females. His mother believes only his true mate can free him from the curse and quell the hunger. Teladorian is not so sure.

Teladorian, together with Azariel, his friend of 600 years, frequents Station X, an underground club filled with willing females from which to feed. Once there, Teladorian senses a female in danger. Sophie, a dark haired beautiful vampire, is being attacked by three vampire assassins. Teladorian and Azariel rescue Sophie from certain death and agree to put her under their protection.

In the middle of a clan war, Teladorian and Sophie begin a steamy romance all the while trying to discover who is trying to kill Sophie.

Aubrey Ross has told a full and complete story with developed characters and a rich paranormal storyline all while working within the confines of a ninety page story. She is able to describe the masculine strengths and the erotic magnetism of Teladorian as well as express his vulnerability: “He swallowed hard, forcing down the lump in his throat. She would either accept him or not. He couldn’t control her reaction.”

I highly recommend “Ravenous” to anyone who enjoys paranormal romance. The plot grabs you from the start, and the electrically charged erotic scenes will have you begging for more.
