Cowboy is not a Ring Master. He has not even been fully trained by the Brotherhood. He cannot even travel through time on his own. And yet, he was sent on a mission to rescue a Druidess from the clutches of The Master who was keeping her and her link to the timeline hostage. Now all Cowboy has to do is make his way into a castle full of The Master’s men, save the Druidess (who in all likelihood is an old crone) and save the timeline without altering its course. In other words, do it all without making a scene and try to make it out alive.

Time traveling is definitely not easy. The Brothers could have at least prepared him a bit more. Especially to his amazement, that old crone, happened to be young and with the figure of a lingerie model. Yes, the Brothers truly could have made his job a tad bit more easier for him.

Aron MacKintosh is caught at the wrong place at the wrong time -literally. She has been hanging naked by chains on top of the Master’s staircase for the past three days as he waited for her to accept his offer of marriage. Some proposal! And here, she is being rescued by this cowboy who is not even a fully trained Brother?

Thank the God-dess Spirit that Cowboy (is that even his name?) has an armored cloak blessed by the gods that is unseen by human eyes and impenetrable. Or so they thought. For something is able to see them through the armor and that thing, essence, spirit, whatever it is, is able to hurt them too. If only they could figure out what it was that is trying to do them harm. Does it work for The Master? And to make matters worse, even the Brotherhood cannot tell them what it is that haunts them.

Naked On The Staircase is a fast paced and full of action. It certainly is an attention grabber. What can be confusing is that it does not go into much depth about the story’s background. It was a good tale, but left it with plenty of questions unanswered. Like who was The Master? What did Chi-Yu really have to do with the Aron? And what was the Seama? Enjoyable story, the lack of answers just left it wanting.
