Lilith Enraptured by Michelle M. Pillow
As an analyst for Divinity Corporation, Lilith knew when she awoke in the medieval castle dungeon that somehow she was being punished for a mistake that was not her fault. The other women in the cell with her were even more befuddled as to why they were there. When a servant came and gave them the instructions to make their captors happy - they would have to comply with the carnal desires of the warriors who would claim them - Lilith and the others each decided to deal with their captivity in their own way. With her knowledge of the ways of inter-dimensional travel via Divinity’s portal, Lilith planned on getting away from the strange land of Staria and Battlewar Castle as soon as possible. Being claimed by the first warrior that saw her was going to be a wrench in the plans, but determination would get her and the other women back to where they belonged, and she was the one who would do it.
Sorin had no intention of claiming a bride at the ceremony, but one look at the flaxen beauty and he quickly changed his mind, finding himself saying the word, “MINE”. The Lord of Firewall, Sorin, had been betrayed by his first wife in the most disastrous way which ended up with her death and the Firewall castle nothing but embers on the ground. He could not understand the way the lady had him enraptured with only a look. Stating his claim and enforcing it would be another story when the feisty woman wanted nothing to do with him and only wanted to go home to her own time and plane of existence.
In a battle of wills and needs, the two fight to find a way to gain their desires in a land that is under attack by dangerous beasts that devour their captors and destroy the land while learning to accept the fate of the gods in their lives. The strong sexual attraction between the two and their strong and determined craving to find the truth intertwine the two lovers’ lives in a sensual and exciting tale. The dangers of the land and the complications of pursuing their desires find the two in a life and death situation that only true love can conquer. When Lilith returns to her own dimension via the portal and inter-dimensional travel, the two face the truth of their affair and the costs of dealing with Divinity.
I enjoyed this first in Ms. Pillow’s Divinity Warriors series and am looking forward to the revelations found in the other women’s stories as the series progresses. If you are looking for a series depicting strong and determined women who lead with not only their hearts but also their minds and bodies, this is a series you want to embrace.

I was pleasantly surprised when I read this one - I’m a little embarrassed to say that I haven’t got to the next books in this series, but I sure loved this one! I particularly liked how the “I don’t want to love you but I do” theme was played out with these two: there was internal conflict, but it wasn’t incessant and their desires were strong enough to overpower their reticence. So awesome!
