Vampire Ariana Stephanopoulous is out to celebrate her 100th birthday at Lunatics, a Chicago biker bar that caters to lycanthropes. While her friends dance, Ari, who isn’t into the club scene, manages to get herself into trouble and require rescuing by the drop-dead gorgeous bar owner, Jackson Marceski. Here begins a beautiful affair that neither planned on.

While Ari is a delightful heroine who deserves all the good things in “life” and Jackson Marceski is romance personified, there is no tension, no conflict, hence no plot. Yet, this quickie is not devoid of satisfaction. It is quite a gratifying read because sometime all you really want to read is spun sugar with a happy ending and lots of Cinderella moments.
