Do you like fun stories? Dragons? Hot bedroom scenes? Gay Elves? Then Kate Douglas’ “Finding Magic” is the tale for you.

Actress Amanda Carlisle is reaching the peak of her career and is starting to lose some of her “magic”. In order to rejuvenate herself, she accepts an invitation to the resort island, Chimera – on the condition that her body guard/personal assistant, Les, accompanies her. Meanwhile, in the Northern Realms in the Land of Eldar, elfin Prince Lorcan is tied of his mother trying to marry him off, so he decides to get away to Chimera to meet some women for fun, not for marriage prospects, and drags his manservant, Tady, along with him. Once on the island, Amanda and Les go their separate ways, as do Lorcan and Tady. Feeling down about meeting that “special someone”, Les and Tady find themselves sharing a table at the resort’s restaurant. The attraction is instantaneous, and the two quickly find themselves back in Tady’s room for a little bondage – in ways Les never would have dreamed of.

At the same time, Amanda and Lorcan both meet on the beach, although their meeting is not so congenial. Lorcan comes off as an ass, but hours later, Amanda can still not stop thinking about him. Lorcan, who never thought he could settle down, feels the same way. They meet again, and this times, things are going well – until Lorcan turns into a dragon. Amanda needs some time to think about this new twist, but while she is thinking, two blonde bimbos decide to hit on Lorcan. Amanda sees this and storms off with another guy. Now it is up to Les and Tady to get their employers together if they want to enjoy their own happily-ever-after.

“Finding Magic” is just a lot of fun, and would make a great beach read (if you have a portable ebook-reading device). The story had a lot more than just sex, but the sex scenes there were, definitely were spicy! Normally, I do not go for bondage, but I could not help but laugh as the diminutive Tady dominated the hulking Les, which made these scenes humorous as well as hot. Kate Douglas did an excellent job mixing plot and bedroom scenes to create a good story with likeable characters and a great happily ever after.
