I love this series now, but I did give up on it in book three origionally because I found Riley too annoying. I love her now and I’m so glad I gave the series a second chance! My favourite aspect of the book is probably the way Riley has grown up and changed as the series has gone on. And the balance of technology and supernatural in her world.

My favourite book in the series has got to be The Darkest Kiss. The ending (not giving away spoilers!!) is fantasic and it’s the book that really made the series a favourite. Besides Riley, my two favourite characters have to be Rhoan and Liander, and getting to see more of them in TDK was great! Bound To Shadows is very close to being a favourite too, but despite great moments with the boys and Risa, it was just a little too shocking to keep it above Darkest Kiss. BtS is an awesome read, it really blew me away, but I wanted a different ending! lol

I will be very sad to see the end of the Riley books :( but I’m also looking forward to finding out how things ‘end’ for her. She’s got a lot going on and there are a lot of lose ends after BtS and finding out how things turn out after those events will be…interesting!! But I will be sad to say goodbye to Riley :(

    Done 3 & 5

I really think you would get more participation in these discussions if you would have a list of the upcoming books for us. I for one would be willing to read them right away if there are in my TBR pile and I knew they were coming up.

1.) I love how the the Riley Jenson Guardian series is so original.

Fav book in the series? Probably Full Moon Rising (book #1) it had intrigue, backstabbing, and lots of lust.

I hate to see this series end. I’ll probably cry. I’m expecting to cry at some point. I always do when I finish a series. I’m not quite up to speed yet, I have Bound to Shadows, but I haven’t read it yet. I’m hoping Riley ends up with Quinn, but you never know how Keri Arthur is going to write the series ender.

I highly recommend this series. It’s one of my favs.

I love this series. I am currently reading the last one, and it is to die for!! 1- I love the idea of the whole hybrid thing, and its a very interesting topic. Ms. Arthur is very good at expressing her characters that keeps her readers interested. 2–My favorite book so far was Deadly Desire, but that might change once i finish Bound to Shadows. 3–And i will be soo sad that the 9th book will be the last, but every book has to come to an end, and i do feel that ending it at the 9th book will be the best. Riley deserves her happy ending, hopefully.

I’ve only read the first book in the series, but have #2&3 sitting in my TBR pile. I’m one of those readers that like it when a series ends. That way I can read the books and know that they will wrap up and not drag on and on and on.

I love Riley.. I really enjoyed this series. I had a little of a hard time when i started the first book but i’m real glad I stuck with it. It seemed to drag on and was not getting anywhere. But by the end I was hooked. Riley and Quinn make such a great couple and beleive me it took Riley long enough to open her eyes.
I don’t really have a favorite book in the series because with one of them it would have not worked. So I guess I saying i loved all of them. Its what made the story.
I will really miss my favorite wolf pack when the series is done.
After Bound By Shadows, I wanted to cry. I never thought it would end like that. So I’m a little scared to see where they will end up in the last one. I just hope they all make it through it.

    2,3,4,5 all done

I loved this series!!! I loved Rileys relationship w/ her brother & how they related & interacted, & I loved the way she felt like she had 2 halves & wasnt afraid to love them both.
Favorite book?? I read them straight thru 1-8…the story kind of runs all together when you do it that way, but she does love to leave you hanging on for the next book at the end of each one eh?
Sad to see it end? OMG YES!! I’ll be honest I was looking forward to many more in the years to come & was floored to find out that the next one was going to be the last(small sniffle). It will be interesting to see how she ends it all.

    All other crap done:)

I love Riley even though I only have one book, (Embraced by Darkness) I do not envy her of her gift of speaking with the dead, and the fact that she is possibly changing into a multi-morph. With the advent of e-readers, I do intend to catch up with the series. My favorite character is her brother who supports her and she supports him.
I’m sorry that the series is coming to an end however I am confident that the series will go out with a bang and have us readers begging for more.

I LOVE this series. It’s made Keri Arthur one of my “drop everything and read this NOW” authors - a very short list. As interesting as the world building is, I really like the way Riley and the others grow and change from one book to another. I’ll miss the series when it’s done, but I hear that Keri is working on a book (books??) about Risa when she’s grown. I can’t wait for that!

OMG I LOVE her books. Yes.
1.) What is your favorite aspect/characteristic of this series? Hmm my favorite aspect is the Riley’s struggles. Whether its trying not to become a guardian or love.

2.) Do you have a favorite book in the series? My favorite book? Hmm the 1st Full Moon Rising and Bound to Shadows. Full Moon Rising is the introduction, and something favorable happens in the latest book.

3.) The ninth installment will be the end of the series. How sorry will you be to see the end? I will be sorry to see it end. But every story has to have an ending. So I look forward to it!

I love just about anything by Keri Arthur! 1) My favourite aspect… I like the fact that she created a vamp/were mix, because it’s a whole new take on both myths. And I also like Lysander’s character, I think he’s fun. 2) I haven’t read Bound to Shadows yet, but so far my fave book has been Deadly Desire because of how things end up between Riley and Quinn! 3) What?! I didn’t know that. Well, on the one side I’m happy to know I won’t have to wait for the next installment to come to know how things turn out in the end. On the other side yes, I’m really sorry that we aren’t going to see any more Riley books. I think I’d have preferred the waiting, lol.

Possibly one of the best paranormal series EVER! and being a Melbourne girl myself, it’s great to have a series written about my hometown.

I’m reading book 6 at the moment!

    1) My favourite characters so far would have to be Riley, Quinn and Kade. Riley is a true Aussie girl and has a great personality. I love her attitude. Quinn is possibly one of the sexiest book characters I’ve ever read about and Kade is a horse shifter… I own horses which is possibly the reason I like his character so much! I think Keri has written some fantastic characters in this series and it was hard to pick out of them all. I do love Rhoan and Liander’s relationship in the books!

    2) I can’t choose a favourite! That would be like picking a favourite child but I will admit I do have a soft spot for Tempting Evil.

    3) I will be sad that the series is ending but I’d rather it end then continue on and end up a plot-less story just because it’s popular and can make money if you get what I mean. So many authors keep the series going long after they should and I’m glad Keri is a smart woman who obviously knows what she’s doing!

Just about to do the rest of the stuff :)

Also, just a question for the US readers… Do you find it difficult picturing some of the setting of these books? I find when I’m reading books set in different countries I have trouble sometimes picturing certain settings and places. Am I just weird or are there more people out there who google images to get a better handle on their imagination while reading? I bet I’m just weird lol.

Sorry to see it end…. for sure… I know Ms Arthur has another series that will segue off of this but I will miss Riley and her sexy vamp….

I love this series, and will be broken hearted to see it end. I am actually rereading these books right now, to refresh myself with them, I like to do that when newer books come out, I read so much I need the refresher course sometimes. I love how Riley has continued to grow and become a better person, but keeps her standards. They might have changed over the course of the books, but she knows what she wants. The way the series is with paranormals out and in public, I like that they are not hidden behind closed doors. 3, 5 done.

I’m a huge fan of punk & rock music so my soundtrack for this series might not suit everyone!

BUT if I could create a soundtrack for the series these songs would be included:

    AFI ~ Silver and Cold,
    AFI ~ On the Arrow
Rise Against ~ Swing Life Away
The Cure ~ Six Different Ways
A Fine Frenzy ~ Almost Lover
Kate Miller-Heidke ~ Last Day on Earth
Nick Cave ~ The Ship Song
Hunters and Collectors ~ Throw Your Arms Around Me

I will probably think of a lot more but for now that’s all :)

I love the Riley books, and will be extremely sad to see the series end. I love how driven Riley is, and really like her relationship with her brother, and I especially love Quinn. My favorite book is probably Full Moon Rising since it hooked me right off the bat. Sadly, Bound to Shadows is my least favorite in the series.

I agree with a reading list at least a week ahead for us everyday visitors, just in case we have the books, can get to the library or have some reading time. :) And is any of the hybrid stuff more than 2 kinds, like a certain popular author’s character? Not to be spoilery, just wondering. Would you say any of the vamp/were mixing is like Underworld?
