It is here that she will discover the truth of what she really is: a “Blue Blood”. The Blue Bloods are an ancient race of vampires who achieve their immortality through a form of reincarnation. According to the Committee, nothing can kill the Blue Bloods. But the Committee is hiding things. Aggie was a Blue Blood and she is dead. It is up to Schuyler to discover who or what killed Aggie and stop it from claiming more lives.

Melissa De La Cruz has created a refreshingly unique take on Vampire mythology. One of the most wonderful things about the paranormal genre is that there are no rules. The story is only limited by the author’s imagination, and Ms. De La Cruz’s imagination seems endless. The way she ties one of history’s most famous unsolved mysteries into her plot development is genius. While trying to summarize this story without giving too much away, I don’t think that I have truly done it justice. Suffice it to say that this book is a MUST READ and that I am happily diving right back into the Blue Bloods series with Book two in the series,  Masquerade.
