Deeley must work at her father’s ice cream stand, Creamy Delights, even though she hates ice cream. She leads a very “vanilla”, or boring life, at least according to her ex-boyfriend.

Ritt and Alex are sexy vampires who share more than a need for blood, they share each other’s lives. They are looking for a woman to complete their relationship.

The vampires must seek shelter after being dumped in the desert and the freezer a Creamy Delights is just the place. There they discover Deeley and Deeley discovers she is not nearly as boring as she thought.

“Creamy Delights” is a well crafted short story. Brigit Zahara gives us developed characters with whom we can form connections and also leaves us wanting to know and read more about them. She has a way of drawing out the erotic scenes until your toes are curling and her descriptions place the reader inside the story, as illustrated in this excerpt, “Beneath the punishing rays of the afternoon sun, the exposed skin on his hands and face had shriveled to a charred, tar-colored mess peppered with angry-looking blisters, while his grotesquely cracked lips remained oddly pale.” If you are looking for a quick read that satisfies, “Creamy Delights” is just for you.
