Welcome one and all to day Thirteen of our month long bash of bloody goodness.

Today’s contest is easy and fun. The winner will be announced tomorrow at the next contest. There are EIGHT prizes for today! Spread the word!

http://bittenbybooks.com/?p=11746

I am in the middle of a move into next week. That means I won’t be around as much, but the contests and fun MUST go on. There’s no Internet at the new office until Tuesday. Winners for Days 11 & 12 will be announced tomorrow as soon as our DSL is working again! ;)

To enter all you need to do is:

1. Visit our Halloween Gift Guide here: http://bittenbybooks.com/?p=11730 and then come and tell us which items are your favorites. Be sure to comment there as well!

2. Tell us if you think we should have a virtual pumpkin carving contest this month? Where you each carve your pumpkins and send us pictures of the process or a video? Then we can all vote on the entries and the winner will get a grand prize. Thoughts? Too hard? Too fun? Yes /no?

3. VOTE The Vampire’s Assistant Movie Giveaway here: http://bittenbybooks.com/?p=11315 and tell us whether or not you are thinking of going to the movie. You don’t have to do this again if you have done it already.

4. RSVP for the Character Interview with author Cinsearae Santiago here: http://bittenbybooks.com/?p=11647

  5. Comment by Meara — October 13, 2009 @ 1:28 pm

Totally up for the carving contest, I haven’t carved a pumpkin in years, but it would be a fun event for my 2 yr old. As for the gift guide, I love those skeleton lawn flamingoes and the duckies were too cute. I’m still browsing though, so thank you very much for the ideas!

  6. Comment by Jessica S. — October 13, 2009 @ 1:32 pm

Loved the black sleeveless dress with the corset ribbon thing going on. Very sexy! I could never wear something like that! Too pale–hmm…maybe not a bad thing?? But also it would be too long. I’m really short.

On another note, loved the Vampire Duckies!! Rubber ducks are cute. Reminds me of Ernie’s bathtime song!

I’m not into pumpkin carving contests. I suck at carving pumpkins. Too hard, too messy and some kid would just smash it into the street and all my hard work would have gone to waste. :(

    Did the votes! ;)

  32. Comment by R.E.B. — October 13, 2009 @ 5:45 pm

The coffin backpack would be perfect for my Cherri Creeper, vampire schoolgirl, costume like http://www.schoolbites.net

I own the white stitch gloves, a set of fangs, black angel wings, a red-trimmed version of the purple/black wings and love the goth fairies, coffin tryptych photo frame, bad fairy (pink/black) wig, both sunglasses (how unusual), the witch/cat on a pumpkin (also unusual), vamp candy, vamp duckies, corset dress, silver fangs, coffin watch, Marie Antoinette wig, armwarmers/glovelets and all the goth books.

I like the idea of a virtual pumpkin carving contest (maybe the theoworlds, as above). It would be a really long video if I did one. I do little detail work, and it takes forever.

  33. Comment by Faerydreamer/Dianne B. — October 13, 2009 @ 5:59 pm

Rachel - I sympathize with what it take to move! DH an I just bought a house and we’re getting it ready right now - removing wallpaper (and fixing the walls where there was problems removing the wallpaper), replacing floors with laminate and carpet, and painting. And adding lights, new appliances, and DH is wiring the house for the networking (and of course almost EVERY room has to be networked for internet and such). And THEN we’ll be moving!
