This was a tough poll… I ended up voting for Stephenie Meyer because her Twilight Saga books got me ‘re-hooked’ on the genre and Chloe Neill because I think she is a fantastic up-and-coming author!! If I had an additional vote, I would have gone for Anne Rice. Ahhhh…. The Vampire Lestat… my first vamp love. ;0)

  214. Comment by Clemmieo — October 14, 2009 @ 10:07 am

My vote is for Tonya Hurley; I have just finished Ghostgirl Homecoming, which is a terrific follow-up to Ghostgirl. The cover alone is so arresting that it made me want to look into the book immediately. From then on I was hooked. The story and the heroine are so different from any other I have read or know of. Being dead has it definite pluses and minuses as the author so vividly points out, letting us into the quirky but yet very practical mind of Charlotte Usher. I am now looking forward to Ghostgirl III and am currently listening to the first Audio book with Parker Posey.

You have made it so hard to choose in this round but the poll is making it impossible to vote so I guess it doesn’t matter. The poll has been acting like I’ve already voted since I voted in round one. If it would let me vote in round three I would choose Stephenie Meyer & Katie MacAlister.
