ok, I voted in the poll, posted a really cool promo for this event on my blog (lasergirl70.blogspot.com) and even included a banner. Here is my video pick. It’s the trailer for the Origianal Halloween movie by John CArpenter in 1978. My favorite Horror movie of all time. The trailer still gives me chills even though I have seen the movie hundreds of times!

The latest vampire video on YouTube that I’ve loved is Buffy vs. Edward. Call me an old-fashioned girl, but I still like it when vamps get staked by the slayer. (And the highlights from Twilight really exemplify what’s problematic about Edward as a hero — he has these stalker tendencies that I find kinda unnerving…)

I’m probably going to skip The Vampire’s Assistant in theaters, though it wouldn’t surprise me if the teen group at our library watches it when it comes out on DVD. :)

It was honestly a hard decision to choose between my 2 favorite videos, so I am going to put them both up! HAHA!
    The First is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtyJbIOZjS8
Ok so aside from this beig a classic Michael Jackson song, and the greatest music video ever made…let’s look a little bit at the technical side of things, the video first came out in 1983 and was directed by John Landis (An American Werewolf in London) and Rick Baker assisted in prosthetics and makeup for the production. Being a huge fan of the paranormal, I’d have to say that the werewolf transformation is pretty darn good for the date that this video was released!

    My second favorite is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpvdAJYvofI
I love this one because, hello it’s Tim Burton people! This whole movie with it’s stop animation is just amazing. But I particularly like this part of the movie because my 3 year old son likes to dance to it! He often pulls the DVD off the shelf and asks for the “Jack” song!

But, on to the best Halloween video. To me, the shower scene from Psycho has always been the top of my list for scary; the whole movie is just awesome, because it’s not in your face slash and dash blood, guts and gore, it is well written suspense. The eyes at the end of the shower scene just haunt me to no end.

I would watch the movie listed here and in question but once it comes out on video, no moneys for movies right now. Too bad to because the one coming out this weekend with Woody Harrelson looks like a riot. :)

This is my favorite Halloween video! Katy Towell is the best. I think animation can be creepy and this video for Halloween makes me want to buy my candy EARLY!

I may as well toss in mine too! So many good choices, but my personal favorite would still be “I Put a Spell on You” from Hocus Pocus (I know, I’m a kid at heart… still love that movie): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDidHzwYu3E (yes, already posted… but still!) and since it was taken, let’s throw in Most Farted too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0JTLFuNFVE

I’m not intending to be in the running for the contest, hence my late comment. Oh, and for the winner of my book, “Queer Hauntings”, I’d be more than happy to sign the copy if we figure out how to best do that!

I think this says it all on the twilight genre. I like it because it brings a lot of the view the people have on the little girl vampire story. I think vampire diaries would have been a better movie to come out with.

This is so cute, people dressing their pets up for Halloween. I’ve always wanted to do that to my kitties, but I’m just so afraid of the retaliation.

This is fun, I’ve gone through all of your picks,
super! I have to admit, this is the first I’ve watched
all of MJ’s thriller, seen bits & pieces of it but never the
full video. Thanks for the link.
I’ve already posted a link to a video, but this
is my very favorite, not Halloween, but a bit sick

Is it Halloween? It’s about spiders. No doubt the content is objectionable to someone. Contains spider nudity and adult situations, I think.
